Title: Resolution centre questions/scammers
Post by: CLK on September 18, 2013, 09:58 pm
So, this is a daft question and will probably be answered quickly, but i have a resolution open with Dr Holland who is a huge scammer, tries to pick on noobs but has ripped everyone off recently. I've put in for a 100% feedback request, but theoretically could i put in for a 2000% refund? He doesnt check messages, just had chepaest listing for coke and heroin etc so noobs especially (thats why i did) order, he checks for orders, messages them to FE, cashes out and goes.. not a bad system, so if i put 20000% refund i doubt he'd even check

Just wondering,

1) is this theoretically possible? (i wont actually do that because even though he is a prick it would be others scammed money id be taking off him which i wouldn't know how to return i'm just genuinely interested if this would work

2) Will this affect my buyers stats, having to go to the RC to get my money back because he tried to scam me like he has with many others (i'm fairly new on SR and good vendors sometimes wont work with someone who had bad stats)

And finally..
3) Why on earth is he still a vendor? look at his profile, his discuss page, he rips off loads of people, especially new people who don't know better and FE (Thank fuck i did a bit of research after ordering and didnt FE). Is there another 'official' way to report a scamming vendor to the SR staff?

(Also as a side note, how do i make bold text codes etc work? I've used the [ b ] and that, maybe it has to be this? i doubt it, they all just show up as normal to me.

No, that would not work, and even if it did that money would be returned. Dr. Holland has been pushed up for further review.

Cheers, short & to the point, should've been obvious that max you could get back was 100% of what you were owed, but cannae hurt to ask right? :) Cheers for the update on Dr holland too

And it wont affect my buyers stats however it turns out, if i get a refund or whatever?? (in res w/ him at the moment)

And the side note, with the codes that should work on the forum, i cant see bold text when i use [ b ] [ / b ] for example, any idea whats up with that?

Thanks for't help :)

I believe all the html modifications are disabled.

Sorted, last questions: The resolution centre doesn't effect my stats right?

Also some orders i placed a few days ago haven't been updated, no message from the vendor or anything, and now i have the option to cancel those. Would i be able to cancel them without affecting my buyer stats? Rather than waiting for the resolution center etc, i've had no contact at all from the vendor.

Cheers for the help

Taking an order into the resolution center doesn't automatically result in any changes to your stats but if you propose a refund and it is accepted then that refund will under normal circumstances will be reflected in your refund rate but there are certain situations where that may not happen e.g. a vendor is proven to have been scamming.

To answer your other question if the other orders you placed have not been confirmed i.e. are still marked as "processing" and 4 days have passed you can cancel yourself without any effect on your stats.
