Recently placed an order with a new aussie vendor for some gear domestically. I received an express letter the following day but I remember that as I went to open it, it wasn't really sealed properly at all.. I basically opened it without the need to rip the letter and could VERY easily lick and re-seal the letter back together. That being said, there was nothing inside of the letter. Just a letter with my addy printed on it.
Its funny because vendor says he VAC sealed and myler bag sealed my product. I say, WHATS THE FUCKING POINT when you cant even seal the letter properly. Its clear that someone along the line has opened the letter, taken the goods and resealed it for delivery to me.
So basically I received nothing. I'm very certain the vendor sent the goods, but how fucking stupid of someone to go through all the effort to send a stealth product but be stupid enough to not even seal the letter properly. It would have been obvious to the mailman that the letter contained something and I'm going to assume he just opened it and took whatever was inside.
This is so ridiculous it's not even funny. I emailed him 4 times and only got one response saying he will get back to me and hasn't yet. I'm trying to not loose my shit but I'm gobsmacked. What do I do?? I'm assuming the vendor will say I'm talking shit but I'm not sure yet.
The new vendors can spend all the time and money to seal a bag properly but be stupid enough to barley seal a letter and put no return address on it. Never using these new vendors again, too many wannabees without a clue. Stick to reputable vendors people.

I'd be a little more concerned beyond just "assume the mailman took it"
At very least I'd properly clean house. Better safe than sorry, even if mailman found it in the bottom of his bag cos it fell out. You could still end up with a visit.

Assuming you haven't finalized the order you can try your luck in the resolution center and try and appeal to the vendor to see if they are open to negotiating a resolution with you. If not it will come down to your word against the vendor and they will have a tracking number that states delivered which is normally an end to the matter as far as the resolution admin staff are concerned unless others have had similar issues and/or you have incredible stats.
Possible scenarios the admins will consider include the following:
* You got the order and are trying to scam the vendor
* The vendor sent an empty envelope to scam you
* The envelope came open during transit and the contents fell out
* A light fingered postie liberated your order
Given there is no way of proving what did actually happen you really are going to be at the mercy of the vendor I'm afraid, I hope it wasn't too big an order :-/

I had a regular thing with a dude long before SR. Things went smooth for months and months. Then packages started showing up, no honey! As u can imagine this caused a MAJOR problem as we knew each other well. In the end we surmised that A crooked mail operator got wind. The state I live in has been called a "small town".
Ac hem's Razor would indicate my man was yanking me, but he always made good on mon. So Crooked mail folks, yeah! I wonder IF we could take a snapshot view of all SR users old new whatever, and see what percentage are US POstal workers. They are a bitter, overworked lot and ripe for looking for one toxin to take the edge of another toxin (stress etcc.) I am afraid he/she (right) has targeted you. We had to go to a different carrier. Problem vanished.
