Title: new vendor not using PGP
Post by: dolmio on September 09, 2013, 07:24 am
hey there, a new vendor had some good weed i wanted to buy but i noticed they didnt have a pgp key so i asked them for pgp and they said they dont use it...
im wondering is there any rules regarding vendors not using pgp at all?
i really think people becoming vendors need to think such things through as this is a anonymous market place and not using PGP can expose our address`s.

The vendors should have a public encryption key and if they do not I would not place an order through them.  Post the vendors name in case there is a problem later.

There is no specific rule that requires a vendor to use PGP however you should look at it like this, any vendor unwilling or unable to use PGP should be avoided because it speaks volumes about their attitude and approach to both their own and your safety and security. If they are not using this most very basic and fundamental security measure I would question what other risks they are taking in their vending operation.

Up to you who you want to trust, but if they can't spend 30 minutes to figure out PGP, I wouldn't go anywhere near them.
