Title: What's the deal with auto-finalize?
Post by: satsam on August 31, 2013, 02:09 am
Placed an order as usual. Waiting for it to arrive as usual. Today I log in for another order, and see the previous one went to auto-finalize!

Isn't having an auto-finalize on your Purchasing Stats a bad thing? If so, it seems like people are penalized for sending funds and waiting for the order to arrive before releasing them, or waiting for the est. delivery time to pass before Resolving. I thought that's how it was supposed to work? Now Resolve is not even an option.
If the delivery time exceeds the auto-finalize time, but is still reasonable (int'l order), why is anyone being penalized? Arbitrarily wrecking the buyer's stats for that just gives incentive to scam or arbitrarily wreck the vendor's ratings in return.

What gives?

So you waited 17 days to log in and now you're surprised it auto-finalized?

It is your responsibility as a buyer to make yourself aware of how SR works, this is a free market platform that requires those who use it to ensure they know how to use it correctly and safely. If you had read the buyers guide or SR wiki you would have known all orders auto-finalize after 17 days, I therefore strongly recommend you invest some time researching those resources.

Thread locked as resolved.
