Title: cancelling an order with a bogus vendor.? Am I stuck
Post by: RoadRunna on August 28, 2013, 05:56 pm
I placed an order with a less than favorable vendor (Cartel Del Norte) who doesn't respond 2 inquiries.. The order was supposed 2 be mailed express,  but it has yet 2 be sent out & this was over 48 hours ago.. They don't acknowledge or honor their own offers & agreements & it's becoming extremely angering because all the $$$ I have 2 my name is completely on hold & they don't even have the courtesy 2 respond.. Is there anyway 2 pull my money out of this vortex or am I screwed for another 72 hours?? In which time I'll have the option 2 cancel the order because it hasn't been marked "in transit".. Somebody help  :o

& yes I know one of the reasons the escrow system is in place is so people pull out of deals on a whim whenever they please & inconvenience the vendors.. but there should be something in place for buyers who are victims of vendors who've had a history of non-credible transacts based on transaction history & bad reviews..

There is nothing you can do until 4 days have gone by. If the package still isn't market in transit by then you will be able to cancel the order.

You can always message and ask vendor to cancel...sometimes they will do it.

Once the order is placed the vendor has 4 days to ship it, and only unless you can get the vendor to cancel the order before it's shipped you will have to wait.  Why in the world would you be placing orders to begin with from a vendor who is "less than favorable"?

As curris said, you need to wait for the Vendor to either Cancel it for you or wait till the 4 day timeframe is over and cancel it yourself.

And, yeah, why would you order from a 'less than favourable' vendor?

I would also offer if all the $$$ you have to your name is tied up in a deal on SR with a less than favorable vendor you might want to consider reevaluating your priorities.
