Title: Store Listing Fees - what are they?
Post by: FirePharmacy on August 13, 2013, 04:50 pm
I know there is 4.89 btc bond to post before selling.  I am doing the numbers and was wondering if sellers need to pay another upfront fee to list items?  If so, what is the fee per listing?  And obviously there's a fee when an item is sold.  What is the fee for that exactly?  Just doing the store budget.  Looking forward to becoming a SR seller!

The Sellers Guide mentions the fee on sales, but doesn't specify whether there is an insertion fee to list items.  Can anyone clarify this for me please?

AFIAK there is no 'listing fee'. Only what you might call the 'final value fee' in ebay like terms. I think vendors can price their items pre or post commission. Meaning if you want to get say $150 for an item and you select the post commission pricing then it will automatically add the commission to the listing price so that you still get $150 for the item but to the buyer it might say $171 or something like that. Also you can hedge or not hedge your purchase to protect yourself from BTC value fluctuations, but there is a fee for hedging.

There is a lot of information for new or prospective vendors in the wiki pages.
