Title: Old links posted within these forums, are they safe?
Post by: abrakadabra on August 13, 2013, 10:59 am
With the FH server being compromised are there links within these forums from legacy posts that are hosted on the devil's servers with the java exploit hack  installed? I know tormail is a no no but what about links to image hosting servers? Should we watch out for certain addresses , avoid all, or??
Is it even really a risk or concern if a link lands on those servers if you have the scripts disabled?
Also, if such dangerous evil server hosted links do exist within, can they be modded out?

There very well could be, you should always use caution when clicking on ANY link.  By now you should have also disabled javascripts in firefox to prevent that code from infecting your computer.  I would always be a tad more cautious of old links in threads.

Okay, so with my JS disabled I do not have to worry about the exploit infecting my browser, correct?
Is it okay to have a separate non tor browser running on same computer but separate process or in background while browsing through the tor browser and if so is it okay to have JS enabled on that separate browser?
