You... yeah.... well... Mmm....

See, it's like this. It's an algorithm. One that uses the price in BTC. Here goes...  6.7 x e^(-p/6) + 4  where -P = price in BTC.

But forget about all that. Set your account to pre-commission pricing. This way you don't have to factor in the SR Fee. It will be added on automatically to the listing. Not on your listing page but when you click a listing on your listing page. That is the price buyers will see. And doing this, you can figure out what the fee is. But it's not something you'll have to factor into your bottom line, per se.

Anyway, as a ballpark, the fee ranges from almost 10% for orders under $50 to just below 4% for orders over $1000+

The ONLY way 2 figure out exactly what the real % they will take is 2 calculate the exact amount you got back then figure the % and then you will know how much for that specific price. People can say they know the fees but SR has purposely made them complex and changed them multiple times. I love SR and I dont mind fees but the fees arnt easy 2 figure out 4 a reason.

I think the fees are fair but I honestly dont know the exact amount I pay either.

To the best of my knowledge:

10% of first $50 (max $5)

8.5% of $50 - 150 ($5 + max addl $8.5)

6% of $150 - 300 ($13.5 + max addl $9)

3% of $300 - 500 ($22.5 + max addl $6)

2% of $500 - 1000 ($28.5+ max addl $10)

1.5% for everything over $1000 ($38.5 + 1.5% amt >$1000)

flat tax description:

 50$ = $5.00 fee. = 10.00%.
100$ = $9.25 fee. = 9.25%.
150$ = $13.5 fee. = 9.00%.
200$ = $16.5 fee. = 8.25%.
250$ = $19.5 fee. = 7.80%.
300$ = $22.5 fee. = 7.50%.
350$ = $24.0 fee. = 6.85%.
400$ = $25.5 fee. = 6.38%.
450$ = $27.0 fee. = 6.00%.
500$ = $28.5 fee. = 5.70%.
600$ = $30.5 fee. = 5.08%.
750$ = $33.5 fee. = 4.47%.
1000$= $38.5 fee. = 3.85%.

The cumulative tier system (the first set you posted) is no longer in effect.
It is now literally is the formula I posted above in a prior post which is a sliding scale system.

Your second list is a close estimate of the sliding scale system now in effect but will be off as BTC rises and falls since the new algorithm bases the fee off of BTC instead of USD to make the fee universal for the various display currencies of the site.

Best bet is to simple set your account to pre-commisson pricing. This way you only have to figure out your profit margin irrespective of the fee. The fee will be tacked onto your listing.

Hedging?

Turns out yes. I didn't know have the hedging option checked costs %4. So I paid $75 in commissions and then $225 because I had a box checked :-/
