Title: Possible Scam/theft attempt involving SR wallet
Post by: yourdadsdad on July 31, 2013, 01:28 am
Alright so I attempted to buy some coins with bitcoin-broker, 700$ worth.
He told me to divide it into 2 payments one for 400 to one person at a bank
another for 300 at another person at a bank.

Did all that, payments verified.
3.71 btc sent over from bitcoin broker to me right away

after an hour or two the other 2.75 btc (the 300$) was starting to be sent over
15 minutes after this on blockchain I see an outgoing red arrow with the 3.71 btc to a completely different number that I have not encountered before.

This transaction had already gotten 1 approval while the 2.75 was sitting there.
So i went and purchased something immediately hoping to get the btc out of my wallet and away from this scammer/ thief

DOes anyone have any insight on what migh have happened, am I misinterpreting this.

Oh also when I looked in my SR wallet under history it didnt show me making a withdrawal at all

Any and all info would be GREATLY appreciated

BTC are put through tumblers to mix them before they reach your account, did the 3.71 BTC show up in your SR wallet at any time or have you only seen the transfers movement on the blockchain?

Sometimes it can take longer than usual.  If you haven't received them in 12 hours, open a customer support ticket on the main site.

First time Bitcoin buyer here. Used localbitcoins yesterday, and even though the process was unnerving, my coins showed up.
