You don't have to reach 50 posts as a vendor to post in other forums.

It's actually not "fucking bullshit" -- the policy was implemented to help us keep the bitcoin spam under control a bit more than we had been able to prior to this rule.
Also, the person above is correct - if you qualify for access into the Vendor Roundtable, you don't have to get 50 posts before you can post elsewhere.

I agree that it sucks, however it is there for a very good reason :D

On my way to 50, personally think the 50 rule is a good idea but would like to see more of a crackdown on these "jump to 50" threads, people should have to contribute to the community and prove their worth before they are able to wildly spread misinformation.

I agree 100% with you on this statement.
Instead of spamming to 50, people should use these posts for something productive. Helping out other newbies, sharing info, asking good questions, etc.
Otherwise the btc spammer could actually just set up his bot to make random spam posts, until released to ordinary forum, and then start his shitty marketing again!

while true. I think the spamming can be useful. I am not at 50 yet, ive spammed maybe 7-8 posts. I will do another 7-8 posts spam. It will make it a little easier to reach 50. I tend not to spam but last time i got frustrated with the rule i did. I often find myself posting on threads without much real content to help reach my goal. Im also bad at getting to the point. The rule is useful. I think if you could see what was spam vs what wasnt spam, a necessary postcount of 30 would be more reasonable. 30 useful posts would be just as effective.

Couldn't agree more I see those types of posts all the time, id rather my posts be about something other than free spam to 50 crap...
