Hi im new here and trying to set up my account and stuff but everytime i link the SR URL to my tor url it says "Sorry, an error was encountered.
We could not process your request.."
Can anyone help me out ? ty

Do you mean typing the SR url in the address bar of your browser?
Are you using the tor browser bundle? Are you using this exact url

I'll second that:
when connecting to the normal .onion url via TOR, the main page displays an error.
to wit:
Sorry, an error was encountered.
We could not process your request.

Well, I do keep getting logged out, and have to refresh the login page again & again because I'm getting weird captcha. There's been some issues with that reported a lot lately. So almost certainly no error of your own, prob have to wait until they rectify ::) I am logged on, though. I'm tails, but I don't think that would make a difference to actually connecting to the site. Maybe they've limited new connections for a bit? Sorry I couldn't be more help, you'll get on shortly, I'm sure :)

Can you guys provide more details? Is it still happening even if you restart Tor? Can you login and then it happens? Does it happen predictably or only every once in awhile??

Was logged in about an hour ago.. Then clicked on a new page and got the error message.. Have not been able to get in since..

Please contact SR support via the market site if you are unable to log in, instructions are in the sticky at the top of this board and/or the SR wiki.
If you need to reset your pass phrase you will need to create a new temp account and verify yourself by sending support the BTC address of the SR wallet you used to fund the account you cannot log into.
I also see DPR has also just posted regarding some bugs they are working on:
