Any opinions on how long is a respectable wait before filing a support ticket?

Hi :) when it comes to withdrawals and deposits I would recommend waiting at least 12 hrs. I know that sounds like a very long time, but you'd rarely actually wait that long for things to be rectified. If there is an issue that's causing such delays, then you can be reassured that SR support will already know about it, and responding to messages is a bit of a waste of time. I didn't mean that in a harsh way, obviously it's not pleasant to be waiting for your coin. Give it a bit longer, AB.

No, it sucks, it's ok to say it. It's not anyone's fault, which makes it suck even harder because you can't blame anyone... I'm not saying you should do this, but one time I had a deposit taking ages, and like you I had more coin ready to go. In the end I thought, they're going to fix it, might as well just send this coin through too. That second transaction cleared in about 1 1/2 hrs... Waited ages for the first one to come through, but I didn't care by that stage, AB.

I sent funds to SR at around 3 pm EST still no sign of them...36 confirmations on block chain as well....sent a message to SR support.  Something must be going on as withdraws were having problems as well.

Please see the thread started by DPR earlier:

It seems that whatever errors were happening are still occurring, but I know they're working on getting things back up and running.

I'm guess the issue has been fixed and that there's just a backlog now.

If you haven't received them in 12 hours, send a message on the main site to customer support.

Hopefully this never happens again, but we do live in reality, of sorts ::) If/when there is a next time withdrawals and deposits are slowed everyone who lived through yesterday's will be able to relax a little.

Do think of newcomers, though, who will be having anxiety attacks and give them a reassuring shout. Mods having to respond to the same panicked question 45 times in a row must get very drained, and have less time to take care of the important stuff, like getting abused by disgruntled lunatics, AB.

Thanks Aussie bob for being that comforter :D

I wast panicking really, hell, I would trust SR to handle my money a hell of a lot more than I trust the banks. Especially after a fiasco a few years back with my visa debit getting skimmed and used, still out a few grand from that. Just got tired of dealing with visa "customer service" after most of a year getting nowhere with the fraud dept. Just left it at that and never put more in the bank then I will spend within 5 minutes online anymore.

I'm just bummed that I wont get in time for my weekend, well that and the coins would of bought almost 10% more yesterday :P

Either way, I got my coins now, safe and sound, so I will be ready for my next weekend... in a couple weeks likely, I work out of town, so unfortunately, not much chance of receiving till then :(

On the plus side, maybe btc will rise, just gotta hope my buddy doesn't taste to much while he's holding it for me ;)

I use hyperbole a lot, just because I think I'm funny ::) Rarely directed at anyone in particular, and, as I barely ever start threads, I forget members feel a sense of ownership of threads they start!! I just dump in them without thinking...

Sucks the delays came at the end of the week  :P I'm no fortune teller, but I feel a mini boom coming in my waters, AB.
