I believe the only way to prove you are who you say you are is if you can verify using a signed PGP message.

I have never used sheep. However I can say that the moment I cannot withdraw from a marketplace I shutdown all business there right away.

It is sort of crucial.

Symbiosis? subtickle? lloyd bros? Just to name a few, where are these lads? They did the road proud and provided an outstanding service to people all over the globe. Without them, the place doesn't feel the same. I dont mean to disrespect any new vendors that I haven't had the pleasure of dealing with. But 99% of the uk lads I delt with on sr1 were rock solid on price,quality,delivery and service.

The "cashout quickly" comment made me a bit suspicious too and given the nature of the site, if he did lose money in escrow when SR 1.0 was shut down that's just the risk of this game. He seems to want the buyer to take all the risk, something I wasn't willing to do given the lack of feedback.

I may well be completely wrong and hope those that have placed orders receive them. Have cancelled my order for now though until I see some positive feedback.

You made a wise decision, i have been on SR for a long time and i have seen this scam play out over and over again and i would be shocked if abatek has a vendor account a week or two from now.

If you message a vendor through the SR messaging system, the reply will come back to you through the same system. At the top of the page when logged into your SR account is the word "messages" and it will have a number next to it if you have any unread in your inbox. Some vendors are not great about replying to messages and/or get 100 messages a day, so a reply may not always be immediate.

The vendor may not encrypt the reply just to save time, and if it can be done safely. If you write and ask a question that can be answered with a yes or no, there may be no need to encrypt the reply. Also remember that the vendor cannot encrypt the reply even if he wants to unless you have sent him your public key. If you do get an encrypted reply, copy the encrypted message and paste it into your PGP program and hit the decrypt button.
