SR1 would be down for a couple days at a time at most, not weeks. We are on almost 1 week now. This is ridiculous. Then IF you do get the site up you are going to immediately close for a week? What exactly is the site good for then? TM (who I was crucifying a week ago) dealt with these same attacks and got them under control in about 24 hours. Are they more competent? Even if TM are scammers (which more and more I'm thinking is not the case) why are they more competent? You need to fend off this attack TODAY and not close for xmas if you don't want to spend 4 months trying to bring people back after the holidays (because their patience will finally have been lost and moved on to a site that may or may not be a scam).

It's nice to see supportive words here, but elsewhere I think that a vast majority of people is overreacting.
Vendors:
Well, entrepreneurship always carries risk, even when you do legal, everyday stuff. And if you think that everything will go smoothly with an online drug vending, then you're naive. Think of how many enemies this site has: LEO's, competition markets, some hackers, etc.
Security and safety should go first: if you regularly withdraw money, and don't leave too much money in escrow, then it shouldn't be too big problem.
Customers:
This is one of the rare places in the world where you can get reviewed and safe drugs and various other services. For affordable prices (specially if you are from Australia). With anonymity and without leaving your couch. If you don't appreciate this, then I don't know what to tell you, because only better thing than this would be an international legalization.
Everyone alltogether:
Discussing much about the team's work and eventual conspiracy theories will not get anyone anywhere. We can just either wait for this to pass and hope for the best, or offer help if we can.
