When I first started vending I provided escrow without any hesitation. Then I lost all my profits because of the bitcoin crash as the hedging system hadn't been implemented yet (it still isn't...) and about 40% of my buyers did not care about finalizing their orders after receiving them.
So I though OK, I will get through it somehow. But then DPR2 fled and I was left with nothing. All of my funds locked in the cold storage. So I struggled to keep the service running, but I just had to start asking for FE if I wanted to keep with the demand. I had an almost flawless feedback and enough transactions to do so. At the beginning people did not have any problems doing so (especially my regular customers) but then I felt an intense decrease in demand. I simultaneously noticed a tremendous increase in the number of scamming vendors (mostly FE scams) so I quickly put 2+2 together. People lost their trust in vendors and vendors lost their trust in the market.
So here I am, back to providing escrow, hoping there won't be any major issues with the site.
Just .02 of a vendor.
