Silk Road Discussion / Customer feedback
« on: January 23, 2014, 07:56:18 pm »
OK an update. The customer who gave me a 1/5 when his order didnt arrive has sincerely apologised as he didnt know you couldn't update the feedback so i am happy now and so is he as i am still givng him his money back. This is what i mean, just some customer interaction so we are both happy.
If a customer is not happy with the product i can only apologise and they are fully entitled to that opinion as i am all for free speech and honesty!:)
My point is i just want to help the customer so hold on the feedback as it can screw up the vendors.
I also had a not so great review and yet again the cutomer honestly did not realsie you cant edit feedback and apologised again. he is now also happy as the issue of weight slightly under is easily resolved when i send some extra :)

So please for me and other vendors sakes hold on feedback, even if you FE wait till you have the product. This helps all future customers and vendors in the future :)
Believe me the majority of vendors want to please their customers as much as possible :)
Times are hard for everyone at the moment for everyone on SR so please lets communicate more :)

So remember - YOU CANNOT EDIT FEEDBACK

Also not leaving feedback when you FE will help beat scammers.

Security / Re: ***OFFICIAL BITCOIN PRICE THREAD***
« on: January 22, 2014, 11:07:08 pm »

10,000Euro is around 12,250USD actually lol
if it does ever hit 12000USD soon it wont be sustainable. Itll be off of a bubble. I guess we could logically predict that every year we can see the avg BTC rate rise anywhere from 10-25% SUSTAINABLY
so
itll reach 12000USD/10000Euros but not for the better part of a decade or longer. Any faster growth than that is just not going to happen.

I disagree. BTC price is only regulated by supply and demand. The price of BTC has gone up thousands of percentage points in a couple of years alone and it seems sustainable at the current level of 900$/1000$. If BTC become more widely used, as they seem to be, the price can very well shoot up thousands of percentage points more in a few months or years.

The problem is that the market for btc is insignificant atm if you compare it with the forex market which is the biggest in the world. and any sudden moves of currency can have a big effect in its price fluctuation. for example, if the American government decide to dump all the btc seized in SR1, they would flatten the rate, even if temporarily. Someone note in another thread that they only seized the equivalent to 5% of the btc in existence... only???!!! if 5% of the btc in existence were to be dumped in the market all at once i would expect to see the price drop to double digits or less.

In the long run it seems obvious that the world governments will never allow a decentralized form of currency to become too widely used as this would be an attack to the very foundations of the monetary system in which our society currently rests upon. I believe sooner or later the btc will be banned just like China has done and that will be the end of it. But in the meanwhile i also think there is an extraordinary opportunity for profit if one is wise and lucky enough. Just remember that with all extraordinary opportunities for profit come also extraordinary opportunities for loss.

We can agree to disagree but China didnt ban it. No country has and no country will. They of course dont want it to over take any real currency but thats not even a possibility in our lifetimes. only 5% of bTC were seized in the SR seizure that should tell you how big of a user base BTCs already has.
It isnt going to grow as fast as it has in the past bc BTC is already a household name now, only steady growth is sustainable. We can see HUGE rises but they will be followed by loses. Still in the end of this year BTC may be trading at 2,000 by December.

captainWB- my bad 10000lbs is closer to 15000USD

No worries pal.

Either way i think we can both agree BTC is a fascinating beast to watch :)
