Newbs,

I just wanted to let you all know that the following vendors are great.

-Captain Mal
-BTC Master
-Smart Coin
-Free Money

I recommend the first 2 as I've used them the most, but I've done a good $3000+ with BTC Master via money order in mail(express, takes 1 day) or Captain Mal via Moneypak. I gave my Moneypak to Captain Mal via PM and I had my coins very quickly.

Both offer good rates near market value.

CaptainMal is no longer on the forums, nor is he selling bitcoins.  I did see a scammer who registered as "CaptainMal" the other day and was impersonating the real CaptainMal ... so if you see anyone by the name of "CaptainMal" selling bitcoins here, BE WARNED - IT IS NOT THE ACTUAL "CAPTAINMAL" ... so be careful.

Ah, Mal might just be dealing with past customers. I PM'd him and still did business fairly recently.

I believe he just deals in private now. :)

I spoke with CaptainMal and, no, he is no longer selling bitcoins here.  If he is selling them over on SR itself among his existing client base, that's fine.  However, there is a "Captain Mal" (note the space in the name) who is using CaptainMal's name here on the forums to try to scam people who don't know that the real CaptainMal doesn't sell here anymore.

So be careful.  CaptainMal - the real one - is no longer on the forums.  The only one currently on the forums is a scammer who is pretending to be him.
