So I'm new and want to know the best place to get bitcoins. I am trying to do my reasearch but there are so many sites out there and I know some will just take your money..
Help with this please

Ok I just read that the bitcointalks place is a scam. this is what makes me nervous how do i know where to get bitcoins if I cant trust the site?

try localbitcoins.com that what i use not - you need to trust the vendor. you can have the BTC sent straight to your SR account - no problems and no questions asked.

i've been looking int localbitcoin and the site just seems odd. you need to meet up with these people? and some of the vendors have listings in like 5 different cities. i wonder how that works

you dont have to meet just use the message service on the website open up a transaction choose you destination for the BTC , when you get a reply, you can do a bank transfer (the vendor will give you the details). BTC will be sent to the wallet you choose. Quick easy and no fuss.

With bitinstant.com you can deposit cash via Walmart or CVS if I am not mistaken. That might be the most popular way to get bitcoins these days. Coinapult.com is also popular. Then there is the old "buy a giftcard" routine. You just buy a gift card from newegg.com or amazon.com, and offer it for sale on bitcointalk.org. Just use a reputable forum member with a LONG history and a TON of posts for your escrow agent. They hold the coins until your buyer gets the gift card via e-mail and verifies that it is a legit code, then they release the coins to you. After you do this, buy steroids or xanax or valium or diet pills from me!

I've had probably 10 clients from the UK - most bought via Western Union, but those fees can be harsh. If you can find a Bank of America, that would be best, but there aren't many in the UK.
Depending on the amount you wanted to purchase, I could accept an amazon giftcard or bank wire --- really, I'm happy to work with you to come up with a solution that works for you. If you want to talk more about it, hit me up over on SR.
