Title: I have been away for a month. Have there been any new security updates?
Post by: visionenergy on September 19, 2013, 09:13 pm
If anyone can shed some light for me along the lines of any new security updates that I should be aware of, or any new kinda info that may be pertinent, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks all my Roadies.  I haven't been on in over a month.

Nothing essential. There's a new, weighted average feedback system that also causes buyers to leave less feedback. Tor usage doubled this month (due to bots, I hear)... bitcoin mining difficulty increased 30%. DPR did an interview with Forbes.

tormail and freedom hosting got pwned by the FBI. If you had any information on there (including your password) consider it under the ownership of the United States federal police.

You should update to TBB 2.4 because of the botnet.

Also look for a new TBB in the next few days (hopefully upgrading Tor Browser to FF 17.0.9 and fixing four remote execution vulnerabilities).
