I am getting a flashing yellow triangle to the left of the address bar and message to download browser update but when I have tried to do this it still appears - does anyone have the link to the update please?
I have tried to click on the link which takes me here but apart from downloading the whole thing again, which I did with no good results, I don't know what to do.
thanks.

Did you extract the browser bundle into the folder of the previous version? Apparently it does that unless you extract into a new folder.
As long as you're using the newest version, the flashing will go away after a while.

As Astor said, you've probably already downloaded the update (current version is 2.3.25-10), but have not yet installed it, so you're still using the outdated version. Here's the hidden service page for Tor Browser Bundle downloads (avoids clearnet)

After I download a new Tor update, here's what I do:
1. Download the signature (.sig) file for the update
2. Verify the signature using GPG
3. Exit firefox / tor browser
4. Delete the old "tor browser" folder and all of its contents (might not be necessary, but it's what I do).
5. Install the verified update
Now it's ready to go and you can open tor and browse with the new updated version.

thanks bud. It did not go into the previos folder so that is the answer to that.

after reading the options I think I will do a mix of both of your suggestions and search for all tor bundle files and delete them before uploading the newest version.
I appreciate the help.
