Does anyone on here use tor on their smart phones? I just fell like this is a REALLY bad idea no matter what. I just noticed someone in another thread posted and the text was goofy, he said it was from using tor on android :o.... Thoughts? Sorry in advance if there is a thread on this already..

For the umpteenth time, it's not safe. Yes there are some users who do it. Just like there are users who use onion.to

This is an interesting site

Been having a look but not given it enough research to say if its safe or not.
I would be inclined to trust the Guardian tbh, guess this is for comms when reporting in restricted countries.

I started a thread on this a while back. Pine and others posted a lot about how unsafe it is. Basically, I learned no, it is not safe.

I wouldn't do it. No, it's definitely not safe.

Ah I just found the thread I was talking about :)

NOT SAFE! Some people here do all sorts of dumb things. This would be one of them

Is there any risk using tor on a notebook with a cellphone acting like a modem? It would use mobile sim data plan instead of home connection

I wouldn't recommend this, simply because every SIM has a IMEI number which can be used to create a profile where you've been.

I wouldn't use Tor from a phone, but if I absolutely had to, it would be a rooted phone.
The Tor Project people seem to support Orbot, though.
