Title: TAILS suspicious popup
Post by: The Advocate on April 14, 2013, 12:28 am
While using TAILS (live cd), I was viewing privnote and a clearnet site via iceweasel Tor browser (default TAILS browser).  I was also logged into the road in my vendor account, and my forum username.  A popup labelled "Metacity" pops up with the message:

There was an error running gnome-screenshot:

Failed to execute child process "gnome-screenshot" (No such file or directory)

Can anyone weigh in on the meaning of this?

It means that you or someone else tried to execute the screenshot app, which apparently is not included in Tails.

That is really weird. I wonder how and why it would be executed.

I'm trying to think if there would be useful info in /var/log, but I'm not sure which log file would be best.

Yep, it could be that simple.
