I had $305 (USD) and change in my account 2 days ago, and now I only have $145, who do I contact about this?

your SR account is in BTC, not USD. That is why i always spend the bitcoin i have because you never know what the exchange rate is going to be. you still have the same amount of btc, just the dollar value is less

Who to contact? I would start with Mt. Gox. Let me know what they say, I think they will be very helpful.

Unfortunately the BTC market has been extremely volatile recently and there are no measures in place to ensure the security of the buyers and vendors on SR. If you had a large quantity of BTC before the crash, you would have lost a lot of money.

It happened to me too. Fucking thief hacking into everyone's accounts and strangely just taking about half of the money.

I tried making a purchase for an item that was at $300 USD before class because I had about 305 the other day and I freaked, not thinking and being in a rush... LOL Thanks everyone! and boy does this suck! I shouldve just bought the stuff the other day.. =/ smh.... Unless.. wait shouldnt the item price go down too? Oh boy I should just leave my SR in bitcoins, USD is confusing me

Yeah if you have it set to $ then your account fluctuates. If you have it in BTC then the drug prices fluctuate. I'm glad you have dreams of making $80,000 right out of school. I'll add my donation address to my signature soon:)

If the item price is pegged to USD, then it costs more in BTC... in this case more BTC than you have.
