Since the last two tor updates I can't get on the network however it says I am.
It says that it denies connections.
I have to reinstall the tor-browser-2.3.25-2 to get everything working again , the 4 and 5 doesn't work for me.
Tried it numerous times.
Never had this issue with updates and did not mess with the settings.
Anybody knows what's up?
I will give you eternal superpowers.

The newer versions detect if you've downloaded childporn and drop connections, i know ive had the hardest time with it myself.

How do you know it knows you surfed CP?
For the n00bs: stay out of CP. Stay off the Dark-Net Darkness. Be good SR users.

Are you extracting the bundle into the same folder, over top of a previous version? You can't do that with the latest bundles, because the update to Firefox 17 is incompatible with Firefox 10, which is in the previous bundles.
You have to extract to a different folder.
Since you are only experiencing this problem with version 4 and up, which is when they switched to FF17, I'm almost certain this is your problem.

I had issues with the latest update myself. A word of caution: DON'T change the ControlPort in Vidalia. It prevents Firefox from connecting to Tor (???) even if you change it back to 9151 later.
There are quite a few serious bugs in the bundle but the devs are not in a rush to fix them.
