Title: Delayed withdrawals
Post by: Dread Pirate Roberts on March 15, 2013, 12:28 am
We've had some withdrawal issues over the past few days.  Right now, they are delayed up to 5 hours.  We've been working to expand our capacity to process withdrawals without compromising their anonymity or the security/anonymity of our servers.  I believe we have a good solution that will help us get up to speed, but it will delay things a little more as we deploy.  I'll keep you all posted via this thread.

If any of your withdrawals have gone missing in the past few days, please just message support with the amount and time of the withdrawal and the address.

ok, were on the new system now.  Withdrawals are being processed about 10x faster, and we should be able to scale out another 10x w/o much trouble if need be.  There are a few more things to put into place to make sure this runs smoothly, but all looks good.  Thanks for your patience.

lol @ BBB and MB

if you start censoring the forum willy-nilly, then you're no better than the politicians who seek to disband SR.

just stick the dickheads on your ignore list if they bother you that much

personally, i get a kick out of reading some of the drivel thats placed on these boards ;)

BBB and Masterblaster are the same fucking troll.  It's sad that somone has so much time on their hands that they can create two terrible personas just so they can argue with themselves on the internet.

We've had some withdrawal issues over the past few days.
I suggest something to counter that. Benzos are said to do a pretty good job. ;)

Is this a current problem again?  I'm waiting on a withdrawal and haven't seen any movement in a day.  I know it'll get all sorted out, just wondering where it stands right now.  Thanks guys.

Yes, DPR made another post announcing that there were major delays, but they're being addressed.

Hoping this works, is this 10x back tracking and taking care of previos withdraws or just current?

I go full OCD when I am sending coins anywhere. I was freaking out wondering what happened, so thanks for this post.  :P

I hope there's not a chance it gets sent to the abyss.

I have only been here a short time but recently it seems many members have been lamenting a lack of oversight and absent moderators, however your recent address of some issues have been done very swiftly compared to some other issues (like the ten days of downtime) and are very much appreciated and duly noted. Take care DPR/company I wish you all the best as I am starting to fully realize the mark on technology and society that SR has made. Stay safe.

How does this withdrawal delay affect auto-withdraw?  I have auto-withdraw enabled but on finalizing the BTC just sit in my account on SR.  Do I need to initiate a withdrawal or is it already in process and the BTC will leave my account once it is complete?

It seems that the auto-withdrawal might not be initiated as I could spend or send the BTC p2p while waiting.

Absent moderators?  If you had any idea how many hours samesamebutdifferent and I spend here every day, you'd know we weren't absent!  I agree that SR has made a great mark so far.

Yep, whatever was done to fix is working now. Finally showed up in Blockchain and confirmed.

Thanks SR team.

I've come to the conclusion exposed escrow is the way to go. You guys should set up a 7% weekly pass through and you can KEEP my coins  ;D
