I've heard a lot of complaints about Win8 and incompatibility with existing crypto software.

You could try GPG4USB and follow this tutorial: http://32yehzkk7jflf6r2.onion/gpg4usb/

I'm not promising anything though.

Windows?
Try a virus-scanner or better all in a program like jottiscan.
And indeed you should use the gpg4usb anyway.

I've heard a lot of complaints about Win8 and incompatibility with existing crypto software.

The solution is obviously to fuck microsoft with a steel strap on and fly agaric extract.

Use anything but Win8. It's the most evil incarnation yet.

Try a Tiny7 ISO instead, if you MUST use windows.

A convenient link to one would be http://h33t.com/torrent/3541859/xbt-windows-7-ultimate-x64-slim-fast-everplex-edition-h33t-creator-of-this-edition

Be sure to use protocol encryption, and refuse unencrypted incoming and outgoing connections, and use a peerblocker such as:

http://list.iblocklist.com/?list=bt_level3&fileformat=p2p&archiveformat=gz  (compatible with Transmission and a few other clients.)

An experimental semi-anonymous BitTorrent client would be OneSwarm.

You can download OneSwarm here: http://www.oneswarm.org/builds/Install_OneSwarm.exe

Linux or FreeBSD versions are at the site as well.

I hope that helps.
