A new post on the Tor Blog says that they are going to add the PDF.js extension to TBB next month, allowing users to read PDFs in the browser.

Apparently they are confident that they can make this safe and prevent links from going over clearnet since the extension is contained within TorBrowser. That should make the building of disposable VMs for reading PDFs obsolete.

Love it. Any word on how long it will be before this gets implemented in Tails and Liberte builds?

I can not find your pdf topic.
I don't believe you can stay anonymous reading pdf on a tbb.
That is the same with youtube.
The moment you are able to see youtube on tbb you are not anonymous anymore.
It's one of the oldest tricks from L.E, to lrue you to click to opeb a pdf or a flsh-movie when they are on tor.
The moment you will be able to read a pdf you will lose your anonymity .
Like flash movies you have to download the pdf file (or youtube) and then watch or read the content, that way you will keep your anonymity.
Sure you can read a pdf on tor like you can watch a fleshmovie, but what's the point of using tor for such things.
Better to take a normal browser, that is just as safe when you watch youtube or read a pdf-file.
I'm curious. I don't believe it can be done, but maybe there are some new technical inventions where i do not know about yet.
Stay on this topic and let us know when it's is possible.
I will become your biggest fan !
