Title: Updating Bitcoin QT

haven't used this particular program in months but accidentally sent my BTC to one of the addresses assigned on there
unfortunately I forgot how long it takes to synchronise the network and why I stopped using it in the first place :-\

problem is it has taken over 12 hours to move 1%  :o

is there no way i can either recover my BTC or (ideally) speed up the process?!?!

i know the block it is in and everything

is there no way I can download this particular block so I have access to my money?

please help, i've really fucked up here, many people's NYE hinge on this :(

You can export your wallet and add it to a blockchain.info account, for example.

Next time try MultiBit (multibit.org). It's syncs to the network super fast. I can't even get QT to see the network for some reason.
