Anybody else seen this, or did the admins just slip this in overnite? Pretty cool, but don't press it unless you mean it, there's no confirmation screen, only a choice from a list of reasons for reporting the item and a box for additional text to accompany your reporting of the item.
***Edit for clarification: This button appears under the "postage option" button on a vendor's individual item page
Think it'd be a good idea to allow for confirmation to avoid unintended reports, but my overall impression of this feature is a resounding thumbs up!

I say thats a pretty good idea.
Dont know how they intend to work it but hopefully if enough people click the button to report an item then SR will investigate and remove said listing before people are scammed. There is far to much scamming going around, it makes it difficult to trust anyone and that need not be the case.

Damn, I was only half serious there, but whaddya know, it's right there on vendors' main pages, "report this vendor"!
I'd still think there should be a "confirm/cancel" option after you press the button, in case you do it by mistake or in haste -- or is that there in the list of options that comes up upon clicking on it? I don't really want to find out the hard way, by accidentally "reporting" a vendor just to see what comes up on the next page - anyone know the answer to that, or are there any vendors that would be willing to take a chance and allow us to falsely report them so we can see what comes up next? ;)

Agreed, and much easier than composing a note to staff -- I can see a potential for abuse, as in a buyer threatening a vendor with "I'm gonna report your ass", but with all the scams being perpetrated on all the new users, I think it's a net win-win for everybody in the long run.

Hopefully it doesn't automatically do anything other than just submit a report for a real person/SR staff to evaluate. Otherwise anybody could just make lots of accounts and hit some vendor over and over. They could also weigh the report based on the user's stats, ie ignore reports from accounts that haven't spent over $100 or something.

Only cops askin to deal with that shit. The roads twisted somewhere and the pavements all clean.
