Title: Vendor - Pulling ALL Listings
Post by: Shroomeister on December 18, 2012, 04:22 pm
Dearest DPR/Admins/SR Friends and Fans,

Effective immediately I will be pulling all my listings here on SR until this whole "Quick Buy" and shipping option fiasco is resolved.

I currently have 118 messages all asking me about shipping options. Some friendly, some angry, some calling me stupid and some just not understanding.

Either way. This business is already difficult enough....with out this.

Hope to see you all SOON!  :-\

I think a temporary fix could be recreating all your listings from scratch with no image (I don't know if it's possible, I don't have a vendor account).
Just an idea though...

shameful. right when i was hoping to get an order in before it's too late this happens.

shroomeister,

would you be willing to broker any deals off-site?

thanks.

I'm leaving my listings up but I'm taking all my not in escrow BTC off the site. Looks like the db is getting mucked about with, probably a sql injection as others pointed out.

Clever idea really, this scam. Presumably the hot wallet is secured elsewhere. So how do you turn access to the product listing tables into a scam? Kudos, scammers.

Yeah whoever cooked this scam up needs to be shot.  I imagine quite a few vendors will be pulling listings until this is taken care of.

No. it is against my Vendor agreement with SR to deal outside of SR while it is "up"....

Anyway. I went through all my listings and reuploaded all my images and added all my shipping options back.

If this happens again I will be pulling all listings for sure, until we hear something from DPR saying it is resolved.

Hope things all work out for you Shroomeister. I have no doubt it will but this would be a huge inconvenience for all SR vendors, not to mention the financial loss as a result of what's happened. Good luck with it all.  :)

Same boat, same result.
Until this gets addressed I did the same.

Also I am not pulling my coins off site yet.
Don't want that to come back to bite me once we figure this mess out.

I was able to successfully pull all my coins off site, so, if that's what you're worried about it worked for me...

I was also able to pull my coins off site.

Have tried to take down images and replace postage option but the bug is persistent

I caught the shipping glitch two or three days ago and have just loaded defaults and I haven't checked but they were fine as of last night.

Not a vendor but I pulled my coins off now also.

Don't trust a site in such a state with my money.

+1 That's answered my question on another thread, I thought uploading new pictures and to readd the postage options would be sufficient, it's not as the hackers are still bugging the system. It seems all the major vendors are being attacked and the lesser known vendors are clear of this attack (at the moment), but it is spreading, and SilkRoad is going at a snails pace for me. Hope you're able to go back online soon Shroomeister and all the other vendors who have been a victim of this attack, you've made a sensible move, it sucks because it's christmas and one of you're most profitable times of year, fingers crossed the SilkRoad team will find a solution and everything will return to normal soon.

You should check. Carefully. I had that shipping "bug" the other day too. I think that was just a dry run by the people carrying out this attack.

To everyone else, this is not about having coins or moving coins. Just because the image "server" is vulnerable does not mean that SRs methods of storing coins is (although they could be), just cant assume one is connected to the other.

I very modestly have a few listings that are in the top pf certain categorys. It seems it is these listings that get both the image changed and has hipping options dropped.

I was out for a bit. Has any progress been made about this issue? Any "official" message from DPR or the likes?

Thanks Shroomeister,

We had this same problem with our shipping options. Reloading the defaults actually worked but I guess we'll have to check our listing around. The Quick Buy thing is more of a concern imo...even though we've not been attacked yet this is nerve racking. Let's wait for an actual update from DPR, we need one.

I guess I have the benefit of being a broke ass new vendor not worth hacking with all my funds in escrow. Other than having to load shipping defaults I haven't had a problem.

It would appear that if they are able to target specific listings then they are targeting the default highest ranked ones.

Not about being broke or new ;)

...well maybe new, because then your item wouldnt be at the top of "best selling" yet...

Im redoing all my images and shipping options again. Gonna go live here in a bit.

I also had this problem. I put all my listings on Stealth and it resolved the problem

Sad to see it come to this Shroomy but hopefully we'll see you back here soon, once all this "quick buy" shit has been resolved.
