Title: SilkRoad Commission?
Post by: bonix on December 11, 2012, 05:56 am
I have been trying to find an official or semi official listing of some sort to explain SR commission policies and amounts.  ive heard 10% - it that across the board? do they tack on the 10% to the vendor listing after the fact?..

a url or link would be appreciated to find this answer/discussion

thanks

10% of the first $50
8.5% of $50 - 150
6% of $150 - 300
3% of $300 - 500
2% of $500 - 1000
1.5% for everything over $1000

And it's BlarghRawr to the easier-to-understand rescue!

Seller Fees(per item);

10% on the first $50 of price($5)
8.5% on $50 - 150(Up to $8.5+previous)
6% on $150 - 300(Up to $9+previous)
3% on $300 - 500(Up to $6+previous)
2% on $500 - 1000(Up to $10+previous)
1.5% for everything over $1000

It works like taxes in the US. You pay x% on the first... I don't know, $10K earned and y%(higher than x%) on the earnings between $10K and (fuck if I know)$50K and z%(higher than y%) on earnings between $50K and $Fuck if I know the tax law, I just know roughly how it works. And only roughly.

First time I've seen those stats.

Gotta say, that's a pretty fair commission on sales. I am impressed at SR staff and their organization.
