Title: Just thinking out loud..
Post by: chronicpain on July 03, 2011, 07:24 pm
Ok, I've been thinking about a good way to find a way to rate buyers. So, tell me if this would be a good idea or not.

Each buyer is rated by the seller just like the sellers are except for this.
A buyer would receive a point for each of these categories. Just throwing out some ideas.
1 point given for good communication/following instructions
1 point given for using GPG
1 point given for releasing coins promptly.
2 points given for having a good experience.

Then when a buyer has so many points/transactions I as a seller would be more than willing to offer a discount to a buyer that has a good rep. and charge more for one that doesn't. this would help keep buyers from making tons accounts and reverse scamming.

So if I were selling to a reputable buyer not only would it be a little cheaper but I also would be willing to offer higher quantities.

Im just spitballing, so don't trash me, lol....

eBay did this years ago but stopped because sellers would coerce buyers into leaving good reviews by threatening to lower their ratings of the buyers.

It sounds like a good idea, but in practice it would be abused.

It's a great idea, but to implement it, you will just have to get a vendor account and start using your system.
