When you get 100 posts, two links will appear below people's names, to Thank or Discourage them. When you thank them, that adds +1 karma. When you discourage them, that subtracts -1 karma. It's all fake internet points. Doesn't effect anything other than potentially your reputation on the forum, and it's not linked to your SR account. To get more karma, make valuable contributions to the forum.
