The cut off is probably a mistake of whatever mechanism they are using to insert the overlay. In other words, they're not very good at what they are doing. :)

Ok so they are real, but some haven't been announced yet. This ain't LE, but some kind of hackers.

hmmm, it's possible that they are holding the private keys to these addresses but they haven't been announced to the network yet.

Just came to the forum because I noticed this.

Instructing to deposit directly to a nonexistent bitcoin address, in other words right into a black hole. Shit is seriously fucked up.

Wow Dango, that's a hell of an effort. How long did it take you to do that?   *Archived*

Hey, does that mean there will be another State of the Road address in a few weeks? Excited :)

Also, a little off topic, but it has to do with vending. It's something I just noticed. If theft (identity, property) is unacceptable on SR, why are coupon forgeries allowed? That's quite clearly theft. Agorism is about voluntary trade, and these companies aren't volunteering for the discounts.

Security / Re: pgp encryption
« on: December 18, 2012, 04:27 am »
PGP is the name of the encryption protocol. GPG (rather confusingly) is the name of a program that will do the encryption for you. It's a particular implementation. Kind of like DOC is a word processor file format, while Word and LibreOffice are programs that create DOC files.

You don't have to encrypt your address. Most vendors will process the order anyway. It's just a really, really, really good idea to encrypt it.

If you're confused, I suggest reading the post stickied at the top of this subforum

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=42094.0

There are step by step guides on using PGP.  Note: you don't have to create your own key if you don't mind conversing with the vendors in plaintext. You only need to know how to import their public keys and use them to encrypt your address.

The last time I got some I used Blue Sky Traders - they have many happy customers here on the forum.  If you have convenient access to a Bank of America branch, they are the way to go in my opinion.  It's totally anonymous.  Their website:

What worries me is that they have links to SR and BMR on their site. How long do you think it will be before LE decides to investigate them? Presumably that Bank of America account belongs to somebody traceable.

You have to download Tails from here

https://tails.boum.org

BTW, it's officially supported by the Tor Project, and is listed as a project on their web site

https://www.torproject.org/projects/projects.html.en

Liberte is an independent project and not supported or recommended by Tor people.

Jesus Christ who decided to let you have an opinion.

LOL.

You all are thinking way ahead of me. My main concern is that it's a scam. I know the guy has a good reputation on some network, but anyone can pull a Tony76.

OP, do you know this guy's identity? Do you have a way of tracking him down? Or perhaps he'll be using a disposable intermediary, too.

I've seen so many threads with people having problems with Liberte. Seriously, I suggest dropping it and using Tails.

Part of the problem seems to be that Liberte uses a Torified version of Epiphany, which is the default Gnome browser.

Forget that. Download the Tor Browser Bundle from the Tor web site.

Or just use Tails, which comes with TBB. I don't know what the Liberte developer is thinking with that shitty Torified Epiphany setup.
