Apple, enjoy your time on the Road. Stick to vendors with many sales and good stats, that will free you from scammers.

I've had great time here. Hope you do too. :)

When you get 100 posts, two links will appear below people's names, to Thank or Discourage them. When you thank them, that adds +1 karma. When you discourage them, that subtracts -1 karma.

It's all fake internet points. Doesn't effect anything other than potentially your reputation on the forum, and it's not linked to your SR account. To get more karma, make valuable contributions to the forum.

What are we witnessing here?

Distribution of hexadecimal characters in 100 transaction ID hashes.

The important part is that the 7 occurred 7 of 100 times, or 7%, which is slightly higher than the game promise of 1/16 or 6.25%.

That would explain why they are at a slight loss right now.

The non-uniform range between 4 and 11 is interesting and suggests truly random results. If everything was between 6 and 8 I'd be a lot more suspicious.

Edit: or 99 times, close enough. :)

The best way to check is by sending it off to E-Data or something but if ya at home on the range use the heat test and measure the % you have left after all the shit burns away.

Short of that, like I said, but it up your nose. Cocaine has a short half life (90 minutes) relative to most stimulants, so no matter how good it is, you should be coming down in 45-60 minutes. On the cleanest, strongest coke I've done, I was able to sleep 2 hours later. So if the shit gives you a rush, and you're ganking for more an hour later, it's pretty clean. If your heart is racing and you feel that artery by your temple beating when you put your head on your pillow 3, 4, 5 hours later, it's cut with cheap stimulants.

Can someone critique my current vending setup and tell me if it's secure enough:

The rest of the BTC I transfer back into Silk Road into a buyers account and buy drugs domestically with that I can turn into cash quickly while making a small profit.

That depends on how well you separate your MtGox account from your SR account. Since your real identity is linked to your MtGox account, hopefully you run those coins through a mixing service, or two, or three.

I also have a hidden usb stick... that runs tails, that I boot the personal computer from. I keep a small encrypted file with the Silk Road URL and all login details hidden on an online email account I access through the Tails USB before I go on my Vending account. I also keep a backup copy of my passwords and BTC wallets encrypted on a USB that I have hidden in a family members house that will never fall under police suspicion just incase I lose any of my details or the online email account goes down.

If you read through my post history (I'm a little too drunk to find the posts myself right now, but some of them are in threads on the front page of the Security section :), you'll see that I'm not a fan of encrypted volumes (files, partitions, external media) per se, because they can leak info about their contents onto unencrypted drives, but loading encrypted volumes from Tails is safe, because it is booted in a read-only state and saves nothing, and implements added security featurs like scrambling RAM on shutdown.

I think your set up is pretty safe overall. It really all depends on how strong your passwords are. Remember, the security of a 256 bit AES encryption key depends on the bit strength of the password used to encrypt it.

Why not just Gpg4win? Obviates the USB thing

GPG4USB doesn't have to be run off a USB, it's just an installer-less program that can be extracted anywhere, including your hard drive.

The reason why you should use GPG4USB is because it's less buggy and easier to use than GPG4Win. Here's a good example, start with this comment, where BlarghRawr  wanted to verify a signature of mine with GPG4Win.

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=95761.msg684493#msg684493

The conversation continues over a few pages, but he failed with that program and succeeded with GPG4USB.

The tutorial is like 30 for 30 in teaching people PGP. Nobody has not understood it yet.

As you can see from the post history, lvlota was having a lot of trouble, so I asked him/her if the tutorial (and GPG4USB) made things easier. This was his/her response:

yes it did thank you for the help this shit was driveing my bannanas. iwas using gpa but this gpgusb is way easier to use again thanks for the help

If you're on Windows and having trouble, please read the tut: http://32yehzkk7jflf6r2.onion/gpg4usb/  :)

Off topic / Re: what % of the site do you recon is LE
« on: December 29, 2012, 04:10 am »
Remember when Dutch LE hacked a bunch of cp hidden services? That's not something the more professional LE like FBI or SOCA in UK would do. I don't think their agents would be trawling around these forums, based on the magnitude of other crimes the deal with, but there are 200 countries in the world and there's no accounting for what some random LEO decides to do. So there might be LE, but not necessarily from the most represented countries. Look out for special deals or weird references to specific countries.

@lvlota

Can I post your last comment publicly? I think it would help a lot of newbs to PGP.

Silk Road discussion / Re: The SR Gaming Commission
« on: December 29, 2012, 03:37 am »
SS, astor, we really are aiming for fairness. I agree with your math, SS, that there is approx 2% chance of having no 7s in six tx ids. However I think that was just chance.

He's technically right about that. We assume that random means a uniform but unpredictable distribution of all outcomes, but that's often a clear signature of nonrandomness. Randomness involves bunching of values/outcomes. Read this:

http://www.empiricalzeal.com/2012/12/21/what-does-randomness-look-like/

I agree that six plays isn't enough to make a firm conclusion, which is why I joked about playing a thousand times.
