If you add the word "wiki" to the end of the forum onion address, rather than forwarding to

dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

It redirects to

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion:8088/wiki/

which is broken. If you add wiki/ or wiki/index.php, it redirects properly.

There is no formal way to do it. Find someone who wants to buy your vendor account, negotiate a price, and have them send you BTC.

The site got a redesign last summer. If you do a Google image search for "silk road drug market", you'll find screenshots of the old design, like here:

As for how busy the forums were, go the "Stats" page at the bottom of the main page, and click the + icons to expand the months and days, and you'll see how many posts and max currently online the forum used to get. It's definitely grown over time.

It's ok to do this once in a while, like if you need an exit node in a specific country, but if you are selecting your nodes all the time, that reduces your anonymity, since your circuit patterns will be different and noticeable.

I didn't know if you were serious, so I Googled it. There is in fact an HBO series called Silk Road, and most articles about it speculate that it's about this Silk Road. Intriguing.
