Most recipes you can find on-line for hot apple pie moonshine call for only 1 liter of moonshine on more than two gallons of apple cider/juice. That's simply not enough moonshine for me. I have increased the moonshine to equal parts with the cider and juice.
First I mix 1 1/2 gallon apple cider and 1 1/2 gallon apple juice in a stock pot with about 20 cinnamon sticks and simple syrup. I bring this to a boil and then let stand until cool. I then add 1 1/2 gallon 100 proof moonshine.
This stuff is delicious. You can barely taste the alcohol. Be careful. It sneaks up on you.

I appreciate the sample. But we thought it was ultra weak. It has 1 part cider, 1 part juice, and one part 100 proof/50% alcohol, just not enough for us considering the price. Thanks again and good luck.
