Title: sending messages to a vendor you placed an order with
Post by: abrakadabra on June 21, 2013, 05:39 am
I am not a vendor but it appears from my view that msgs sent to a vendor are all sent and received the same and the vendor must cross-reference the msgs to usernames in the orders to assaciate who's who and if they get a lot of pre purchase questions and such their inbox can be a time consuming thing to go through. That would leave me to assume a busy vendor may handle other aspects of business such as pending orders as first priority and going through their inbox might be of less priority.
If a buyer needs to msg a vendor about a pending order, it would be nice if there was a link to msg vendor from the order page, and those msgs went in with the pending orders list on the vendor's interface somehow. Or even maybe some type of separate msgs folder for them with msgs referenced to those orders that the msg is regarding.
**remember, I don't actually know what the vender account interface looks like, but I assume it is very primitive and simple like everything else.

I second that, would make communication easier between the 2 parties linking the message to the order in question.

its very easy for a vendor to send a buyer a msg after they have placed an order. i usually just message the person and tell em thanks itll be sent within 24.

buyers can just go to profile by clickin name on order and then send message. its just 1 extra click..
