i know its a fucking stupid move finalizing early but honestly i think there should be one final fail-safe system where someone finalizes and its uncovered to be a scam. dpr or some other associate can have final say over the deals. they are out of both the vendor and the buyers hand until it is reviewed by other dpr or one of the mods or something. otherwise this finalize early bullshit has to go.

i agree, it was dumb of me to finalize early for this asshole with my stats being what they are. but why have the fe button in there at all then? what use does it serve except for someone to run a scam eventually. every single vendor has that option at some point here to rip and run. take away the fe or have some other escrow for people who fe'd to be cleared by DPR or whoever he hired to work on the site.

Every purchase you make on here is a calculated risk. Between payment, product, shipping, etc. There is a simple way to protect yourself - don't FE! Sure, if you are a new buyer, you may have to your first few times. But don't go spending hundreds of dollars. My first 10ish transactions I spent about 100-200 total. I'll admit I was interested in buying from PtP for the deal, but him suddenly spamming the forums and continuing his "one day only" sale for multiple days was pretty sketch. And I definitely wouldn't FE regardless.

Well that's a more rational post than the shit fight 12 hours ago. I suppose what I should say is that in almost a year, some of us have seen many scammers come and go and 35 transactions and one month as a vendor clearly doesn't mean shit to someone who comes onto here to scam. There is literally only a handfull of vendors that I trust, they are all well established and above all never ask for early finalization. The last person to do that to me was cantfeelmyface, I refused and I was glad I did as three weeks later he burned everyone.

Sorry people lost money but if a deal seems too good to be true it usually is.
The best way to look at it would be as an experience. Losing cash online is WAY better than losing it on the street to some pistol wielding hyped up teenager and his 2o buddies backing him up.
I went for a deal that seems too good to be true but its only 1 BTC for two grams of 'ok' speed. I hope it is bicarb but think it may contain some speed. Well if I get ripped off then I have learnt a lesson for 1 BTC.
Buying online has its risk. Its easy for a vendor to set up accounts and buy his or her own gear and praise it. Or easy for someone to buy good gear off here and resell at a loss for a while then announce some knock down sale of lets say a gram of H.
But the risk here is all about financial loss whilst on the street you could lose your life arguing over quality, quantity, price and so on. You could be busted buying it or carrying it in the street. People get shot for silly amounts of money or beaten up and robbed.
Online purchasing comes with a risk but as long as you stay in Escrow then you will be covered if you end with 100 pills that are as strong as M&Ms.
The retailers who sell bulk have track and trace so should not need a buyer to FE. If track and trace says the parcel arrived then maybe SR could over-ride and finalize. After all a relative might sign for the parcel or your wife does the dirty or your brother. Some customers would cry if someone else stole it but if its delivered its delivered. Buyers ought to assume responsibility for the address posted to.
SR does work as there are buyers here who have been around a while and whose service and product is second to none. Its not worth robbing £4000 UK pounds but maybe the seller got a little high off his own supply or got stung with the fakes and went over to the dark side. Karma will get him in the end it always does. People who rip peope off in the drugs game always end up in trouble. Sometimes a heap of trouble because in the real world enraged buyers do not just give bad ratings. They do nasty things to you. People scamming online is just an extension of their life. Locally they will be known as the last dealer you'd ever go to. I got a feeling he is suffering from impotency also - but maybe his cell mate will make up for that one day.
Sorry people have been ripped off. Happens to everyone but if your careful on the SR and bide your time and do not make snap decisions on anything over 10 BTC you will find sellers who care about the product and who care about the customers. In the real world a good dealer is a rare thing. Most will sell shit if there is nothing else. The good ones never sell shit and are clued up enough to not be ripped off which often forces good dealers to go bad as they have to unload bad gear to recoup cash.
Try not to get angry and all Scarface with the grenade launcher over your loss.
Put it into perspective. Better this than being ripped in real life.
Live and learn. The next time you see some one day sale and pressure to finalise early - go for a trusted dealer instead who has recent comments about the quality of the offering and some feedback in the forums also. Take a chance on new sellers but order small. Stay in Escrow and why finalise early when every drug deal in the world is a simultaneous handover of cash and your drug of choice.
So far I have not been asked to finalise early - but after five sales with anyone I might FE out of politeness and due to me only buying hash and a few grams at a time I am sure I would be reshipped or re-posted if it went missing. For bigger amounts its pay when I get it. I understand some bulk deals may be FE but in which case I would insist that the BTC be held by SR in escrow as I have not had any losses.
I don't mind putting some BTC in the pocket of the owner here also. This is a radical business and takes up a lot of time and effort. Initiative pays and when its a risk it should pay.

Despite his stats before this incident, PtP was always somebody i had avoided buying from. The and most obvious reason is that he made everyone finalize early. The second reason is that in his profile he mentioned that he didn't even own a car and as a result, couldn't get to the post office every day. He obviously doesn't live in an urban area (where cars aren't necessarily needed) if he can't get to the post everyday. I just got the impression that, although he may have been trusted on this site, he clearly didn't have his shit together in real life.

I saw PTP's deal and was like HOLY SHIT and got very excited at first. I then started researching him and got sketched out and decided not to buy. The FE thing is what made my final decision cause he didn't seem like someone with enough credit to trust in a situation like that. If Tony was the guy having the sale I prob would have done it because he has a lot more to loose then PTP did.

Someone has something you want, and there is this paradigm ingrained in your psyche that allows you to negate personal and rational boundaries you normally never would, to get whatever product is calling your name.
Create a system for yourself that allows you to run through a checklist of logical steps. Then, never, ever part with the checklist. If you do, you need to be completely okay with giving your money to someone who's intentions are clearly not benevolent, and never seeing it again. It seems simple, but in practice, it obviously isn't.

However I've been ripped off by someone I thought was my good friend in real life, so I know all about how it feels. I never got my money back but I got even with him, I took it out on his vehicle, then a few windows in the place he was renting, finally when I caught up to him I beat his fucking ass.

Yeah, PtP (apparently) got me, too. Luckily it was only for a couple hundred--it ain't like it's never happened before, here and IRL. On my vendor account the only time I ask for FE is if the buyer is like 0/0, or wants some kind of expensive shipping; and I don't like doing that. So as for the money I lost, well shame on me. You fuckers gloating about others in the community getting ripped off--shame on you. If you've never been ripped off on a deal, you haven't been doing this long enough to talk. The guys swimming in money. Oh ya. I worked for an IT company. Sure it may take a few thousand to keep a site up and running, secure, and in tip top shape. But it doesn't take hundreds of thousands like DPR likes us to believe. I did they math one month on how much he made on me and it was aournd $1000. Times that buy like 400? sellers and you do the math. How much is this mother fucker making? Hell even if he spent $30,000 every 2 months. Its a drop in the damn bucket or him.

Yes, but he went about addressing it in the worst way possible. Respected sellers on SR can demand change from DPR through their client base. PtP was one of these respected sellers, all he had to do was rally the troops, then have them insist change. This is a pretty simplistic view though. I'm sure PtP got scammed and needed an out fast. Then, in turn tried to push the blame onto DPR and some greedy buyers. whatever...water under the bridge.
Business is business. I don't care how much DPR or sellers are making as long as I'm getting my product and getting it safely. I took a loss on this PtP deal, now I know better. Could have been worse if it was on the streets.

I don't disagree that the fees are high for US and EU buyers. Vendors will move to other sites if the fees here are to high, yet buyers will prefer sites like this which offer some protection on their orders.

So after Months and Months and Months and Months of paying people off cause their package didn't arrive (even thought their tracking number says it did - Hmm imagine that) and paying them back every penny in BTC so I could have a good red, having buys talk mad shit and biting your tongue and saying you'll fix everything and things will work out, and basically being a buyers bitch like all us sellers are - not to mention the OUTRAGEOUS FEES that SR puts on us. The guys swimming in money. Oh ya. I worked for an IT company. Sure it may take a few thousand to keep a site up and running, secure, and in tip top shape. But it doesn't take hundreds of thousands like DPR likes us to believe. I did they math one month on how much he made on me and it was aournd $1000. Times that buy like 400? sellers and you do the math. How much is this mother fucker making? Hell even if he spent $30,000 every 2 months. Its a drop in the damn bucket or him.
So anyways I started to get pissed kissing everyone's ass when they were fucking me like their bitch! Finally I had, had enough. Their high and mighty attitudes and DPR's attitude that he was a "Hero" doing this for the underdawg - he's fucking doing it for the money. So I started sceaming. Alright, people need to stop coming in and mocking everyone that finalized early first of all. They made a mistake and they know it; time to stop gloating. Ptp is a fucking asshole, and people like him ruin the drug game for the good guys that just want everyone to enjoy themselves. I mean there are a couple of vendors that I've bought from a few times each, and I finalize early for them each time because they have such a reputation. I don't know, maybe some day they'll decide to scam a bunch of people and leave SR forever, but if we're going to live in fear of that kind of thing from long-standing, amazing vendors, then this site has become useless. Finalizing early is a way of rewarding the best sellers by getting them their money immediately so that they can restock, especially if they're one of the top 10% or so on the site.
The moral of the story here isn't "Don't finalize early ever." The moral is don't be stupid about finalizing early. If a vendor's only been around for a month, and suddenly he offers a huge sale, I'm not saying that it will definitely be a scam, but maybe sit that one out to be safe. For example, remember that huge customer appreciation sale we had a couple months ago? Well I completely sat that one out too. It wasn't because I thought that a huge a scam was happening, only that the likelihood for it being a scam seemed higher than usual. Was I wrong? Yeah, and I missed my chance to get some good deals. But I gave myself the peace of mind that I wasn't falling for some scam and losing all my money. Just be safe with what you do on SR. Unfortunately, there are people that want to and will abuse the system because they're chickenshit that give a bad name to the professional, courteous dealers on SR. Don't let those assholes get you down. We still have an awesome community here, and DPR deserves every cent he gets for running this paradise. I'm very happy that he's a millionaire, and I hope that he's living it up on some island somewhere or something, because that guy is my fucking hero. So don't take it out on him or anyone else. You as a buyer made a mistake. Welcome to the game.

Absolutely: anybody who's been in this game for any amount of time at all, knows that this is just part of the scenery. I appreciate those who come back on here, and let us know when scams happen. Anybody who gloats or laughs or presumes superiority just shows their inexperience. These forums are so we can find out when vendors are just scammers, and when buyers claim bogus 'missing mail' so we need to always be friendly when people get ripped, as they are doing us a favor by coming back and letting us know.

Vendors need to stop pulling these scams, but whats to stop them? A Scam Collections department? As we've seen in this thread, vendor info gets leaked. Whats to stop a person or group of people from attempting to collect on these debts? It doesn't take much experience to know that everyone has a weak spot. Find that weak spot and they will pay.
I'm not talking about physical harm, nor any other thing that goes against SR rules. It would never even make the local news, so the media is not a concern. Please tell me, why should a person or group of people NOT pursue these scammers?
Even the thought of someone actively seeking me out would be enough that, if I were a vendor, I'd never consider a scam.
