Title: Upon Reflection - What are people's genuine experience on Silk Road???
Post by: Primeval on March 07, 2012, 12:49 pm
When I first stumbled upon SILK ROAD, I thought, 'yes!!! this is it! an encrypted place, untraceable and somewhere to get true quality items with feedback so one can make an informed decision.'
However, I have chosen 2 vendors who had what seems like pretty much perfect feedback and placed orders, one asked me to finalise early, which i did as it was only for 2.5 BTC and i eagerly checked the status of my orders and was extremely happy when last Friday the orders were marked as 'In Transit'.

However, nothing whatsoever has arrived as, yet, no, i'm not calling bullshit as of yet but i'm leaning towards it as to be honest, the items really should've been here by now as they are local vendors, really, i would've expected the items within two days based upon my experience with the mail....

How have others found SILK ROAD?? Is it a place littered with scammers and somewhere where one has to tread extremely carefully or is it for the most part, a reliable site where one can purchase quality, reliably????

I am thinking of trying another vendor for valium as it is something i've been after for sometime now and there are vendors offering it for sale; however, the vendors left all have about the same feedback as the vendor i have already ordered from and so i'm thinking, 'am i going to be entering yet another fruitless endeavor??'

Also, i noticed that no one seems to have feedback of over 100, they are all around 96 to 100 for the top vendors, why are there no long term vendors who have 700 points or suchlike???

I will be adding my honest and complete experiences of SILK ROAD and in particular of each vendor by name, here (I will only add vendor experience when a reasonable time-frame has been granted to each vendor, pm's s sent to vendors to allow for explanation and all other routes for settlement of the case exhausted.)

so far ive only had one package not arrive and im sure that was posted (seller had very good feedback otherwise) it probably just got pilfered by a postie along the way or something, never been scammed in any way, never had bunk product either so to me its been perfect. on the scoring, the max number is 100, i think its a percentage from the feedback scores of the seller.

Hey prime, i've not been here too long but had 4 extremely pleasant transactions (ordered monday arrived by friday, both from holland to UK) but after those i got cocky and tried to give a new vendor a go, one of them was local (UK) and actually as far as i can tell it wasn't his fault but in his first week as a seller he annoyed quite alot of people including me by not sending product, it seems though he reshipped and everyone got their package 9 days after order... not me though, so after 16days of waiting he finally gave me a refund today. Now i figure i will go back to original vendors only to find 1 has dramatically increased price (almost double) and the other is sick for unknown amount of time :( i will be trying only experienced well reviewed vendors... They're feedback whilst it is a good indicator it doesn't mean everything and you should always check here in the forums first, can i ask who you ordered from and how long its been?
Rhino.

I have only been here for just over a month, but so far have had nothing but absolutely stellar experiences ordering.  From my experiences everything has been shipped in timely fashion and professionally packaged, and I haven't had anything go missing so far.  This is in sharp contrast to a previous service I used where I had a bunch of orders go missing and I lost a lot of money because there was no escrow system.  I suggest you remain patient, if you bought from vendors with high ratings it is very unlikely they are going to rip you off.   Mail in the UK can sometimes take a ridiculously long time and delays for both domestic and international letters/packages are common.

I finalized early for my first order, as it was from a trusted seller, and it arrived safe & sound.  I would not finalize early for a new seller or one with a bad history.  I think the escrow system here is great, as long as customers don't abuse it.  I like to finalize as soon as I receive an order which is the way I feel it should be.  I  now avoid new sellers (less than say 25 - 30 transactions) because I am kind of paranoid about being ripped off/scammed, I have noticed a lot of new vendors who put up listings but then they completely disappear a few days later.  I also don't think I would order anything that ships directly from Holland, because I see the risk factor as way too high.  I've had packages from Amsterdam and the Hague go missing before so I don't feel like risking it again here even if the product might be great.

Some of my favorite vendors here so far have been JohnnyDeal and OrganicBuds, absolutely incredible customer service from them and the overall turnaround times from payment to receiving the goods were most impressive.  JD is on vacation at the moment and I wish him the best, thanks to stand up sellers like him I am absolutely loving this service at the moment.  Looking forward to trying Anarcho47's goods next, he was very quick to respond to my questions and his phenomenal track record here speaks volumes.

...thanks for the replies, it's extremely nice to hear from regular buyers who have experience, which all seem positive thus far,  in dealing with vendors on SR.

I am glad to say that one of my orders came through today and was packaged very well and made it from Germany to the UK. So, as I stated, an update on my personal experience.

1. Order from the Vendor - 'DAGOBERT' was SUCESSFUL, the quality of the '1g Maroc Hash' was/is extremely good, just like hash I used to get in the 80's until 'Soap Bar' ruined the market, it required very little heat and crumbled beautifully to a fine dust, sweet buzz and extremely well packed, to boot. So, I can very happily endorse ;D DAGOBERT ;D as a solid vendor :D

2. My second order is with 'B19MEECH', I have read the feedback which all seems extremely good and I also checked the forum which also didn't provide any negative results apart from one which told him to 'gargle spunk' or something, hmmm, not particularly nice; however, I overlooked that one bad review and took his many other positive reviews on board. I am still waiting for my order to come through, to be honest, it is a tad overdue but please, don't misunderstand me, I am by no means slating B19MEECH at this current time, I have had recorded items go astray for a week or so before so it is entirely possible that I am just unlucky and Royal Mail is just not operating as per usual and as such I will have to wait....however, I will update this thread in an honest manner and review my experiences....

- also, to be fair, B19MEECH has answered all my PM's politely and I cannot fault him for that.

Everything has arrived, in good time. Most of the stuff I've ordered has been out of the Netherlands, and even some of that has come from vendors who I know are considered unreliable by some. The product has been great, my dealings with vendors have been professional and friendly, and basically: this place is fucking awesome, and I regret that others haven't had the same experience.

Read the forums. Find a seller with a good reputation. If you're scared at all only do Escrow transactions until you trust the vendor enough to finalize early. That's the best advice I can give you.

Been here for a long time now, and every transaction I've had has been a good one. Do your research. It pays off in the end.

I found this place about 2 months ago with 4 other friends and we have all used it very regularly and had nothing but good experiences. I'm now about 5 orders in and only one of them was mistakenly shipped mistakenly to a wrong address. A quick note to the seller empathizing that it was likely an honest mistake got me not only a quick response and apology but a future credit for when this product I ordered is restocked which should be soon- all of which I consider to be very fair, honest and plausible.

By nature I am a studious person, so before I even thought about ordering I made sure to come into the forums, dig around and read everything from the initial phases of obtaining bit coins, to proper security (pgp etc), and preparing myself for doing business correctly. Sure the prices are a bit higher, but I also do not mind paying for convenience when really the only thing manually I have to do is deposit money then sit on my ass and wait for my preferred drugs to come in the mail.

Awesome, revolutionary service that when researched properly and used correctly gives us 3 things we can never get from buying dope on the street. Safety, Anonymity, and Plausible Deniability.

Love this place.

I'd say it's above average. Aside from getting scammed, or what I think was scammed since I have no refund yet, it's been a solid experience. Got some really nice buds very quickly from a great vendor in Norcal, and now waiting on some DMT I ordered 2 days ago. The biggest hassle is probably BTC, since you need to jump through hoops sometimes, and if you don't, you have to pay extra for conveniently deposited coins. All in all, it's been a pretty good experience though.

SR is too good to be true as long as you're smart and do your homework.  Lurking on the forums before a buy is a must, if not to only make you feel a bit more comfortable.  I've been here over 2 months with 8 successful and total transactions.  Feels good man.

Been here since last June, over 40 transactions, never had a problem that went unresolved.

It's all in doing business with the right people, communicating the right way, and having the right expectations.

I've had 2 bad experiences. One with Mr.Crane who to this day I believe is a dick; my OX80 never made it, and yes I did finalize early for him (strangely enough plenty other orders to the same name/address combo made it here every time). And another from a guy in russia, also never arrived but the vendor refunded my money.

Otherwise it's been nothing but great pleasure doing business on the road. Among others, I've placed orders with:

TheUsualSuspect
jackrabbit31
chronicpain
vicodin
Pharmville
MrDdroMcGillacutty

all arrived, but I must say that so far the best vendor I've dealth with is MrDdroMcGillacutty: always super reliable!

Good luck!

I love silk road.

I'm new on here and only started purchases about a month ago.  I've had five purchases and all went very well.  I had monitored this place for a month or two prior and did my homework and research.  I've been very surprised at how professional everything has gone so far.  I think its mostly a matter of using trusted vendors and making common sense decisions.  I have found that patience is key.  So far I have been extremely satisfied with my experiences here on the Road.

UPDATE 2.

I am extremely pleased to add that today, i received a letter from the Royal Mail stating that they couldn't deliver my item as it was £1.12 short of stamps and thus was being held at the depot. This was a point i made to b19meech as he should just find out the postage for 1 item and then he can put stamps on, you see it could've been a trap by Royal Mail as i had to sign and i had to bring i.d luckily i had only put a slightly different name to my regular name. If using a false name also put c/o Your real name or something very close, she didn't ask for id but was meant to and packing was reasonable good actually.

So, I am more than happy to endorse b19meech, i have tested them, they didn't taste like vallies at first but then in the middle was the bitterness expected  and in 20 minutes i had a beautiful chilled glow about me.

I will order again soon as i couldn't fault  ;Db19meech ;D, item is kosher, just needs a few more stamps on it to get next day delivery or within 2 days and to avoid the R.M DEPOT...

Thumb's up, here!  ;D

Rather new to this, but so far I've had a pretty good experience.  I think the key is to do plenty of research on the forums before you decide to actually go through with the order.  If a vendor has a stellar reputation on the forums, especially with veteran members and mods, they're usually a good bet.

7 months a member. 18 transactions and growing. I'm a noob to the forums, not SR. And not 1 scam on me yet. Hell, If I bought 18 items on the street, I would have got at least a dimebag full of tea or 1 gram full of flour and baking powder, heh. But law of averages says somethings gonna bite me someday. I pray its on like a $2 BTC transaction.

I had an opposite experience from your positive one there with said vendor. So, just to make people aware in case they just go by your statement.
Ordered the same product as you, "Maroc Hash" from Dagobert, he was insistent to finalize early which I did not argue with even though I have a solid buyer rep with no refunds.. Just a few days later I received the seizure notice in the mail- bad luck.
Anyway, I contacted Dagobert about this and all of a sudden he says he does not speak a word of English and he cannot understand.
Then I sent him a link to the copy of the seizure notice and a few words in probably broken German explaining.
To this he replied with a one liner, the link is broke. (I double checked and the link worked fine)
Next I sent him a new link and he replied with just; "????". I really feel he is trying to avoid the situation now by playing dumb.  I've sent him another perfectly functioning link and he is no longer replying anymore.
I certainly hope he can do better than that, but if there is one thing to take from this it is that; no-one, not new buyer or experienced buyer should finalize early for Dagobert, if something does happen to go wrong it is very likely that you are on your own.
DO NOT FINALIZE EARLY FOR DAGOBERT!

On a side not, every other one of my buying experiences have gone relatively smooth :)

I had the same thought last night, but was not sure where to post it, so I will post it here with an update at the end.

My SR Journey so far.

Hi my heady friends, I thought I would give my experiences on my SR journey so far to give new customers some idea of how to proceed. I heard of this site from a BBC radio report one Sunday night and decided to give it a try, I have been a member for 1 month and spent approx £700 GBP.

I found and downloaded tor with no problems and joined SR (you will not find SR without Tor) the only problem being  my oversight (not putting a pin/password in) but SR admin sorted this out quickly.

On entering the site it was like walking into a sweet shop as a kid, all that beautiful bud and I wanted to try them all, but I had no btc. So my first stop down the SR was the btc exchangers. Not many UK exchangers but decided to try drcashancarry. This took a leap of faith as I had to deposited cash (£300) into a bank account, and then wait for the btc to appear. After waiting 24 hrs for the btc i feared the worst, but the btc was there in my account the next day (give vendors time) and I have had another similar transaction since, his communication could have been better but I could not give a fuck as long as the btc turns up which it did. Another way I have obtained btc which is useful for UK buyers is using a paysafe card. This is available at most UK newsagents/shops who have a PayPoint sign displayed. You give the shop keeper your money(£100 pound limit but you can have more than one) and they give you a receipt with 16 figure code on it. Then back to SR and find a paysafe  to btc  exchanger, I have used  Amsterdamshop  for this with no problems, just send your code and wallet number via pm and your btc will be deposited  in good time. If your  shop keeper is unaware of paysafe cards print this following page and get them to scan the bar code:
 http://www.paysafecard.com/uk/buy/sales-outlets/pin-print/
So now you have your btc who to buy from. If product is needed quickly go for domestic vendor but if you can wait try overseas. Buyer Beware- make sure you research  a potential vendor , check out feedback  first and then go to the forum to see what other buyers have to say about product and service. I did not do this last week with a new vendor to SR and may have been scammed  but I will give them a week (domestic) before I out them. Remember 5/5 Finalised Early means nothing  until it is updated ,  try small amounts  first  so potential loss is small (not like I did going for 7g off this new vendor). I have 26 transactions so far and this is the first suspect vendor but  my fault for not doing my research. So to the good vendors who I have purchased from with no complaints;
happyhippy - Good quality strong green and quick delivery (AK47)
freshtouch  -  Not the strongest  weed  but pleasant smoke, maybe my expectations were to high having tried thai stick in the past which blew my fucking head off (wild Thailand)
Dutchshop -  Standard Hash (commercial afghan hash)
Amsterdamgoods - Stronger than the standard hash (quality primera hash)
Soulrebel - Good looking buds nice pleasant smoke (8 mile high). I prefer 2nd  purchase (grapefruit)
Planta - Sweet tasting weed  pleasant smoke (sugar punch)
Marijuanaismymuse - top quality weed , beautiful looking bud . Wish he would move to the UK because shipping costs a lot but worth it if you want a treat.(purple Krush)
Onestopshop - Good looking bud  and nice pleasant smoke (orange bud)
Cloneuk - Nice looking bud and pleasant smoke (Kush berry)
sweetLeafLondon -  Nice tight bud, a little on the damp side but a good smoke, quick UK delivery(casey jones)
Organic buds - dry tight bud , good smoke (chronic)
Greengiant - top qulity hash ( cheese bubble hash)

I have only just got around to login onto the forums but reading that we have all had similar experiences, I am glad I did. This SR thing  will work fine if we communicate our journey down the road. At this stage my advice would be dont get sloppy and do your research! The suspect vendor I was talking about above was kronn, I ran out of bud last week and tried my best to get some before the week end and put in a 7gr order, reading the forums this may not have been the best course of action to take :'(

I've been here before H was popular in SR, and have being scammed hundreds of dollars by vendors here before. That's why I started the H thread and is happy now that it blossomed into a healthy flow of dealers available.

Overall I find the experience in SR enjoyable, able to know different kinds of people, from shit scams to great dealers. Got XTC, which was a real blast, as well as many nice trips from the top dealers.

One thing I still missed though is to buy some cheap fresh poppy pods down the market like buying vegetables, and chomp them down at home. Ah, miss the dam!

Have yet to experience a scam with 13 (ish?) transactions. I have however received a mail from the police about important a class A drug (MDMA) into the country, but due to low resources, they didnt press charges - luckily. Lots of good acid and shrooms gone through though, not a single problem there.

Hi all,

Been around here for almost 6 months and so I'm truly amazed at the service. If someone had told me a year ago I'd be mail ordering my gear off the net I'd have pissed myself laughing. Now I can comfortably say that SR has treated me to the highest quality products I've ever experienced in my 15+ years of experimentation.

The UK has been suffering from the mother of all H droughts since mid 2010. I had been an addict on and off for around 10 years. SR put me in touch with the first proper gear I'd experienced in over a year and the best I'd had in my life. Since then I've stopped using local gear entirely and only score on here once a month or so. The delivery time and price prevents chain impulse buying (read: addiction) and the quality means it really feels like a treat when I use. Win, win, win etc...

Have ordered the odd E and weed as presents for others and they have always been astounded with the quality. Not yet been scammed, but even if I was it wouldn't put me off now. For sure there's no foolproof tactic for success but if you heavily research your sources prior to ordering you stand a good chance of doing well. Protip: the forums here are much more value as a reference than the SR buyers feedback page.

SR has been amazing so far. I am very new here (a few weeks), and I have had successful orders with..

DudeRugs - 25i
Galindoi - Shrooms
milehighmedicine - chocolate hash cup
maggots - chocolate chip cookies
tony76 - mdma

all were a pleasure to do business with. Had a few vendors cancel my order, and then the listing goes missing. But that never seems to matter since there are plenty reputable vendors.

For me this place feels like.. "home at last"

Been here for a while, and its definitely a great place (for the most part).
The gawker scandal definitely degraded it for a while, but now its good due to sellers having to pay for accounts.

The only problem I had from from the infamous MoneySource, who burned me for 80+ dollars.

Tony76 is one of the best on here. He has made me very happy.

Some other sellers I trust are:

Christy Nugs
Galindoi

Sites been working fine for me......

As to the OPs question- Silkroad is the shiznit! Nothing but good experiences so far although im new. Vendors have been great and all products have been delivered so far. I still cant believe this place is real! I mean I cant say thank you enough to the creators of the site and the vendors for providing an excellent service. The only problem with this place is the threat that it might not be here someday.... That thought makes me sad and I hope it never comes true. VIVA SILKROAD!

The only skecthy bit that ive experienced was a mistake by my mailman when he brought the package to my neighbors house. The packaging was shitty and when my neighbor brought it over it looked like someone tried to peek in. But I still got it and so far, so good.....
