Title: Deposited to the wrong address, is my money lost?

*facepalm*

I went to my SR account page, copied the address I needed to send to, screwed around a bit, went back and generated a new address since I was ready to make my deposit.  Well I forgot to copy the new address.  Went to mt.gox, pasted the address that was in my clipboard (which is the old, wrong address), and clicked "Withdrawal".

Mt.Gox says the money was withdrawn.  Nothing showing up on SR obviously since I sent the money to a non-existent address.  What is gonna happen to my money?  :'(

i believe it will still go through.  if memory serves, it says "you can still use old addresses to make deposits" on the account page.  i'll check and get back to you.

Edit:

"Note: This address will change each time coins are received, but previous addresses can still be used to add more coins to your account."

That's fantastic...thank you for checking that for me.  I've been looking around the site for info on how those addresses work and didn't think to look on the my account page.  Thanks!

Yes you can use previous addresses (although not recommended) as long as they are from after the site was taken down last week.  I think those addresses are gone to the winds...

I did something similar a while back, and when it didn't show, I notified SR, and they made it right...they will help u if for some reason it doesn't come thru....
