I am starting this thread for customers to review my services. I was waiting until I had completed a transaction. I just had my first customer (thanks for giving me the opportunity!) so maybe I'll get one review.

Warning to all newbie btc buyers, to be extremely careful when buying btc on SR. YOu have no protection, and the scammers keep coming back, as word is out that there are naive btc buyers on here....if you don't see oldtime'rs on here buying, then you'd be advised to use an offsite exchange. IF there only positive reviews are from newbies, you can pretty much be assured they are shills for the scammer . Don't come on here saying a week from now how you got ripped: you've been warned!

While it's true I'm not an OG Silk Road vet (I've made about 10 transactions--11 if you count this one) and have only previously lurked the forums, I'm not a shill for anybody. I just never really had a reason to post anything here before. Of course, in all honesty, I also made this forum account to warn others in the event that I did get scammed. Either way, I was planning on dropping feedback here.
I can only vouch for my own experiences and the bottom line is, I needed a few BTC and was willing to roll the dice on a new vendor with a small amount. And it worked out fine for me.

Do not use a MP-->BTC exchanger until they have been vetted by an established member. All I'm seeing here are newb posts with absolutely no way to validate any of the stuff they are saying, avoid this with a ten foot pole.
blues is right - you have been warned. Do not take the risk, SumYunGai is an established BTC exchanger who has been vetted by established members with proven histories.
I say massive red flag until triple-proven otherwise.

There is only feed back from new members since only new members have purchased from me. I think that is to be expected with a new vendor. I have no problems with your warnings except the statements that feedback from new members somehow makes me less trustworthy.
I can only have feedback from an established member when an established member does business with me. It may take time before one is willing to risk using a new vendor. Until that point I can only keep offering my services. Today I had my first three customers! I wasn't sure I would have any at all, but those three were willing to take the risk. I asked them to leave me feedback afterwards since it will be hard to establish a reputation; I guess they registered on the forums just to do so. I appreciate their effort and am glad they've joined the forums. I hope someone with more credibility will purchase. That part is not under my control.
I struggled deciding whether to respond or not as this is all pointless until a trusted member purchases and writes feedback. Until that point, I will agree, I am as yet unvetted. To those willing to take a chance, I appreciate it. If there is anything I can do to help a trusted member vouch for me, I will do so.
ajkrunk didn't buy anything. I updated my vendor page saying I am out of bitcoins two and a half hours ago. If you are trying to make a point, I agree. The reviews by the newbie accounts, positive or negative, don't really provide much data.

understandable but a lot of people have been burned for thousands of dollars over the past month by MP-BTC "vendors".
We are raising red flags proactively and if members still want to risk it, that's their perogative. But understand me when I say that I HATE scammers, even from a purely self-interested perspective. You give the site a bad name, and you are coercively stealing money that I could be receiving in mutual exchange.
I still recommend avoid, avoid, avoid, untill vetted.

I been here for 4 months and just started ordering last month. Got 8 transactions. 6 pending because of Sugar. :) Been lurking on this forum all that time. I only have 1 post so I my opinion doesn't hold much weight. Don't blame anybody. I would think the same. I just posted because after my transaction, Sugar asked me if I could rate and post a review on forums. I'm happy with the service so I did.
But beware with ANY new BTC trader!! I took a chance and I got lucky!!

To Newcomers: Read the previous threads, we understand that it is a bit of a hassle to buy bitcoins. We've all been thru this. Oldtimers here are usually willing to help, to show you how to purchase. bitcoins ...we cannot keep having people get ripped. Until a potential bitcoin seller sets up a format where there is some sort of escrow, or conflict resolution, I cannot stress enough the dangers of buying bitcoins from unkown vendors.
Please read thru the threads in security, relating to btc...and do not purchase from new vendors. New vendors on here have no business selling btc without buyer protection, and I ask SR to forbid it.

Sure, but it's all ripoffs lately, simply because there is no use of escrow, and it attracts scam artists like honey attracts flies. We have to operate on the theory that this is a scam until proven different, as operating on the theory that btc sellers are honest until proven otherwise is just causing too much money ,loss. I like this site...I don't like people coming here to steal. So someone new, who decides to make this area, their area of operation just attracts suspicion. Ideally, you would find a 3rd party to hold the moneypack funds in escrow until transaction clears, then we wouldn't have to be so harsh. A form of escrow, and you'd do fine.
This isn't a *feedback* based site. It's a site based on escrow, to protect people, and escrow is lifted when the product is delivered. A new person, who just happens to pick an area where escrow cannot/will not be used, and especially an area which has been hit just about daily by scammers, is of course going to be suspect. It's not personal, it's just the only way we have to fight back, and me and a few others have taken it upon ourselves to try to do somethig about these rips.
Again, not personal, just we've no other way to fight back. And we have to fight back.

Ok guys I am cross posting this from the security thread, I am not an Old timer but with 40 transactions, not a baby either: (The entire Moneypak to BTC thing is a SYMPTOM of the problems with the exchanges that are just too rigid. We need a better, safer way that uses some of the brains around here. anyhow, Sugar Mama at least did an honest exchange for 250 here with me. As they say in the Forex markets - "Past Performance is no guarantee of future returns"
Ok, folks, most of you have here know me Charlines G. I have been on SR for maybe 5 months, and have maybe 40 tranacts, and good buyer stats (20% refund rate, but I did not ask for those refunds, the vendors canceled and refunded), 0 auto final, etc.
I am a good customer of the vendors on SR! I am putting out 250 to the "Sugar Mama" for a test. But whether Mama makes a good trade or steals, there is still an issue here on SR: - we need alternatives to the major BTC exchange sites.
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: Mama came through as I was posting this, she just changed my $250.00 Moneypak - it took minutes.
Here is how it went down for me - (please note that Moneypak transfers and exchanges are still risky even when the exchanger has 10000 successful transactions - its just risky.)
Last night, I needed to get some deals going for me and a few close members of my chronic pain support group - so I initiated a Mt. Gox transfer from bank dwolla - you know the long chain. And then I sent inquiries to the usual Moneypak changers, Borneo, SYG, etc, I checked the boards and saw Mama - so, I gave a it try after messaging her last night, she replied overnight, and when I got back from errands today, I saw her message here.
I encrypted the MP# and sent it, although her message was an hour old, and voila. Here are my bitcoins. You do not have to worry about me being a shill, because I am a real buyer here - I was all up in the Cali debacle, the customs NL seizure issues on the shipping boards, etc.

my point was that anyone can post bullshit, you can be a totally honest trader, and still get these guys with One post up and you cant respond to every one, nor should you. This is a tough business for the honest folks on both sides of the trade.

I'm keeping track of this thread. I did a successful $400 transaction with Sugar Mama on Tuesday. But if she ends up being a scam, I will count my lucky stars. And never do that again! I hope she doesn't though. We need more BTC traders here.

In my opinion, the people that are claiming she is a scammer are fucking idiots. That, or just trolls. Look at her profile, if it says that she's CLOSED at the moment, then obviously you aren't gonna get your coins yet. Wait for her to be OPEN and then send your shit.

Until we have some sort of escrow service for bitcoins, I don't recommend anybody buy them on SR: you have no protection. If I were wanting to start a serious btc exchange, on here, I'd find some way to have someone else, well trusted, hold the moneypak numbers, until I had released the btc. I'm sure someone really interested in selling btc on here, could find a similar escrow setup. We've had bad ripoffs already.
Or perhaps SR would find a way, to take a cut, and provide btc. But the way it's set up now, it's going to continue to attract scammers. Anyone can sell a few hundred dollars worth, and then make thousands on a rip. This is *not* what SR is about. There are outside exchanges that are reputable. At this time, you have *no* protection if you buy btc on here.

I think something along the lines of escrow of the MP number, but a real volume exchange will need a much more sophisticated model. The problem with MP is that the Bank behind GreenDot (Columbus or Columbia Bank of Georgia) does not want direct transfer of MP between unrelated people, and their back end software tracks the place of purchase and the location of where the phone call or inbound web connection is made for the redemption. They let it go for a while until a preset limit, and then...bam...they shut down the cards.
There are probably a number of ways to manage this technically, and there are even ways to make blind Paypal P2P transactions using theiir new X API.

Yeah, might be too 'smalltime' but they could always set up, say, a neutral party as the intermediary, then for a percentage of profit, that neutral party could hold money until btc arrive, then swap both ... doesn't seem that hard. Whoever ensured escrow would stand to make in profit, the small percentage they lost. Ask maybe one of the mods who wanted to make a few bucks, to hold funds or something like that...sombody at least known and trusted...
The trouble is, now, that scammers are very aware of the possibilities of big ripoffs over time, and could even do like some of the selective drug scammers, come thru for some, not for others...so I think it just hurts the sites reputation, and new people don't quite understand the setup, and have trouble understanding btc anyway, and are prone to making purchases.

I have been thinking about the exchange problem, and although it seems obvious that SR should operate their own BitCoin exchange, the one reason they don't is security. It is just to "coupled". What about a SR mining pool that you pay your way into? Some could offer compute, some could fund the rigs (I would) and some would write the exchange software. And when it all is running smoothly, we all get stoned.

Just checking in to say I made an exchange with Sugar Mama just now, it went very quickly and smoothly, I had my bitcoins in less than an hour, and he was very generous and gave me an extra .2 btc because my math was off and I got just a bit less than I needed. Seems to always be in stock, lower rates than other exchanges, i would definitely recommend Sugar Mama for anyone looking to change moneypak over to bitcoin.

Even after me making mistakes here and there by giving the incomplete money pak, sugar mamma stayed patient with me and sent me my BTC's!

I have not delt with Sugar Mama but it is my firm belief that one day we will have a thread about all the money Sugar Mama has stolen.
I cant really say why, because I dont know why, but from my PMs with Sugar Mama I got a wierd type of vibe.

But anytime your doing illicit activities you should expect that you will encounter some individual who sees YOU as the victim.
So the entire time your conducting illicit activities be aware that you are a target and act accordingly.

My first transaction on Silk Road was with Sugar Mama and I got my bitcoins in minutes. I understand the concerns reading the other posts and hopefully some kind of escrow system can be incorporated in the future.

I have modified this post because of posting the message wrong, but I would like to say for the record "I posted this particular bitcoin vendor is a bit suspicious because of a transaction I had experienced with her. I had posted some coins I had for sale and she expected me to send them to her first before I received the moneypak number she was supposed to buy them with. I turned her down and did not go through with the transaction and I suggest using SumYum for your transactions in the future.
I had originally posted her defense about this transaction, but I have removed it because it was a PM.
Maybe she will post her own defense here, I don't know, but even she admits to receiving moneypak number first for all of HER OWN transactions. Kind of fishy and a bit too risky for my taste.

I feel the whole exchange mess is just that, as mess. People want faster or more anonymous than a 'mainline" exchange, like Gox or whomever. We want bitcoins in the spur of the moment, so the greendot MP refill system (not as anon as some think) get pressed into use.
There's a Sugar Mama, she did fine by me, and there are the cautionary doubters, all in the way of the world. Even a predictable solid SR citizen like Borneo got it on the chin when Green Dot shut down a slew of cards, if I understood him correctly.
What lies at the basis of all this chatter of future rip offs that have not yet happened? The need for Bitcoins that are not sourced from an exchange. Mt Gox wants ID's now to do any volume or cash deposits. Some will feel fine with the SR tumbler, some will use a wallet and so on.
I got tired of the MP anxiety, so after a successful exchange with Mama, past with SYG, Borneo, Rapid, etc, a total of $1000 thank lord none lost - I went back to the dwolla wagon chain. For now. At least when they trade $$ for BTC, I can see the block chain in motion. There is no more secure feeling than that.

Uh, I think posting a persons private pm is a no no. There is really no need to do that, and after all we are ALL about privacy and security. Those pm's DONT reveal any shady dealings at all, and I personally think posting them was unnecessary, you should remove them.
Up to this point suga mama hasn't done anything wrong. That doesn't mean she wont, but to slam her has a scammer is not fair. There are reputable ppl that exchange bitcoins for moneypak, (SumYunGai comes to mind) so you don't HAVE to use SM, but to this point she hasn't done anything wrong. Only time will tell if she's legit, but to date I say give her a break.
No I don't have a dog in this fight, and I NEVER get my bitcoins via money pack. i've never received money from SM. The bottom line is simple: buyer beware. We are dealing with a illegal activities. Search the forums, be responsible for yourself. Don't look for ppl to hold your hand, BE SMART, but posting pm's is NOT cool.

Amen and amen! Dwolla is a painfully slow drip but I don't have to worry about someone on SR running away with my hard-earned lunch money.

I don't know: SR is based on escrow...any time I go out of it, I'm asking for trouble. That's not going to change. We aren't a reputation based vendor site...what we have, are a few people who operate without escrow, and have had some good trades...but if they bail tomorrow, we are just shit out of luck... t
So, I stay with outside vendors of btc.SR is for escrow based activities...I still keep hoping one of these btc vendors will find a way to safeguard money, find a intermediatry, some type of protection...seems possible

I have been around here for a while now, and I think I've earned a fair share of reputation and people know that my integrity, while highly profit-motivated, is as strong as the best of them.
I am wondering if maybe a BTC/Moneypak vendor would want to partner up with me and I would act as an escrow agent for them. take a small cut of the fee charged in exchange for holding the BTC while the moneypak number is passed over. Is there a way this could work? I DO want there to be alternatives for people outside of USD because that means more business to me from my legit dealings.
What do you think? Is it plausible? Any suggestions? Only other issue I have is that I'm not exactly the most free-of-time guy on the planet as I do have a business in the legitimate world that keeps me occupied too, so it would only be probably evenings that I would be able to do something like this.

I was actually thinking of you, when I mentioned this a while back, that they could find some mod/trusted member, and use them as an intermediary...You might should pm sumyungai, since he seems open to doing something like this, and has been around enough time to be trustworthy himself. With me it's kind of a principle thing, because I think the *bad* or potential bad btc sellers come in and ride on sum's reputation, so if he got with someone and used them as a form of escrow, it would knock other sellers pretty much out of the box.
Anyway, best wishes with it: you have my vote...i think it would be an excellent start to improving our btc problem....especially on major orders, u know, over a certain amount, they could use escrow...who knows...

You know if I wanted to call someone a scammer thats exactly what I would do, and I didn't. I just let people make up their own minds based on what happened and to me, it IS FISHY when someone wants bitcoins before they give you the moneypak #. That was my point and no I will not erase it nor apologize for it.

my only point is/was simply this:
posting of pm's IS generally frowned upon. It's tacky in my personal opinion, and as a seller (for me at least) calls into question how safe would my buyer information be with you?

btc--like escrow itself--is just a very touchy area right now, and sometimes when we attack a bad system, it seems as though we are attacking the people who sell within the system. I don't mean to do this, but people are loosing some serious chunks of money because of bad btc sellers, and we can't constantly be saying,"it's a bad system, but so-and-so hasn't ripped anybody off", etc...the nature of non-escrow sales is causing an increase in rip off artists, and until we patch up the system, we'll continue to get these thieves among us.

I dont trust Sugar Mama and I am confident she/he is up 2 know good but anchientlib is a good seller and I think she is only trying to do whats right. I'm not going to get into a big discussion on forum etiquette. Even clearnet forums, posting pm's is frowned upon. I gave a link supporting the believe of posting pm's is not appropriate by a fairly senior member.

She's new, (hell I'm new, kinda) and I have no doubt she wasn't being malicious. My only point is a person should N E V E R post private pm's. My only other point was Sugamama may or may not be a scammer. So far her transactions seem to be flawless. Time will tell, I hope she's not but I don't use money pak. Now if she actually offers visa debit cards then maybe ......

Once again a smooth, pleasant as fuck transaction. Got me my btc from my 100$ moneypak when I needed it asap.. Love this chick. Never gonna use anyone else for my moneypaks. All the others I've used have either been empty or just have disgustingly retarded rates.

I understand being skeptical, it's a huge risk.. You'd have to be an idiot to not be skeptical, but some of you are taking it to the point of the crazy kind of paranoids.. Like creepy conspiracy theorists. There's a point where you just sound ridiculous. Some of the members on here that I respect the most and look up to are disappointing me in this thread (not referring to you Anarcho, you're still my favourite ♥).

I just had a 5/5 transaction with SugarMama too. I am not sure what made me take the risk, but I did (irritated with messing with get-bitcoin). Any one of these vendors could take the money and run, and as we know, sometimes they do. Don't spend any money on SR that you can't afford to lose - especially true with BTC vendors - they are all super high risk, but at least they aren't too much of a security risk. Just a different kind of high, I guess. ;)

Sugar Mama came through for me. I usually use SYG, but I had a bit of a time crunch, so I took a chance. Communication was great, she was pleasant and friendly, and made the transaction happen perfectly. She battled through SR having technical issues, and was very apologetic that the transaction took so long (about 45 minutes end to end). I'm not new here, and SM will certainly get my business in the future.

The reason people have said this is because aside from SumYunGui and Borneo all other BitCoin exchangers did eventually scam people. Some did the same exact thing that Sugar Moma is doing right now. They go slow at first and build a relationship for a month and hit all the ducks at once.
The members who are commenting are saying things because we have all seen at least 250+ people get conned out of money due to BitCoin scammers.

I have modified this post because of posting the message wrong, but I would like to say for the record "I posted this particular bitcoin vendor is a bit suspicious because of a transaction I had experienced with her. I had posted some coins I had for sale and she expected me to send them to her first before I received the moneypak number she was supposed to buy them with. I turned her down and did not go through with the transaction and I suggest using SumYum for your transactions in the future.
I had originally posted her defense about this transaction, but I have removed it because it was a PM.
Maybe she will post her own defense here, I don't know, but even she admits to receiving moneypak number first for all of HER OWN transactions. Kind of fishy and a bit too risky for my taste.

I have modified the post in question, so it no longer will give Sugarmama's defense, as posting her PM became an issue and changed the real subject of the post, which is "Do I trust Sugarmama as a BITCOIN VENDOR"and my responce is "NO I DON'T."
Maybe she will post her own defense for asking someone to "send her $300.00 in BTC before she sent the moneypak number necessary to buy them (even her own transactions are done this way)", I hope so. As it stands now....I wouldn't trust her!

Anchient, I don't really see why I have to defend not doing business with you. Neither me nor any of the exchangers here pay out before we receive payment. It doesn't matter to me if I'm selling you moneypaks or selling you coin. I've sold a number of other members coin and they've paid me first; you're obviously free to do what you want. I also don't understand what you have against me. As you mentioned earlier, we did a test transaction where you sent payment first and I paid you. After that you said you wanted me to pay first, I was not comfortable taking the risk so we parted ways. When you thought that was "fishy" I tried explaining that to you but you returned here posting in all caps and posting my PMs. I guess thanks for taking them down, although I don't know why you posted them in the first place, I said the same thing here that I said there.

Your warnings have been heard; I have nothing against your wanting to try and protect people and have tried to only respond when I felt someone was asking for some clarification from me. But it isn't fair to make this thread the place to discuss the problems of scammers on the forum nor is it necessary for those of you that are skeptical to repeat yourselves ad nauseum. Please allow my review thread to continue with reviews from people that have done business with me. There are plenty of other threads for the rest of these conversations. (It would also be nice if the word scammer was reserved for people that have actually scammed people. It appears there is a sort of Godwin's-law of "scammers" occurring in these threads.)

Thank you phubaiblues! The antidote to the negativity that has been pervasive in the forums is level headed and civilized discussion. If people followed your example, even when things get heated, the forums would be a much happier place to gather and have the productive discussions that are necessary for this community to operate. A conversation with a member like you will result in useful information for people who later look for it and will leave a good impression for the archeologists that one day discover our little secret underground society. An ideal forum conversation is not just communication between two people (that's what PMs are for) but respects the fact that you are talking in public and leaves behind useful information and answers to questions so it looks like to the next member like a knowledge base and not the day after a teenagers no-parents open-house party.
I hope people realize the torch-and-pitchfork witch hunts are mostly started by people who purposefully want to sow discourse in our community. If you want to know whether someone is one of these trolls trying to pit us against each other (and they haven't given themselves away by their all caps-lock rant) click their post history. And when you see them, don't feed the trolls.

I want to give a shout out to Sugar Mama for being the best vendor I never got anything from. Twice now I sent her MP codes and she couldn't do the exchanges right away because she was very busy. Both times she had the codes for hours yet she didn't cash them. Both times I got impatient and sent BTC Buddy the codes hoping to increase my chances of getting coin quickly. BTC Buddy beat her to the punch and the MP's were still full proving she doesn't empty them before she is ready to send the btc like she says in her profile.

Now, there is a case of proven trust, a system if you will, where a relatively new vendor is given one or more "redemption codes" that can net them real $$$ with no risk of retribution or law.
And, it's great that we have a few well proven honest people who are exchanging. But it's not the best system by design. It's also riddled with potential security holes. I just shudder to think what a real data mining, blockchain tracing, LE + Walgreens dealmaker fucker could do - by watching the MP redemptions as such : --->

Deal was this. I needed some coin changed late one night and Mama was around. She gave a price. Coin went nuts. She still gave me the price even though it was a bad deal for her and she practically lost money on the deal and for a moment I might have actually made money on it. Guess I caught her at a a bad time, great woman and vendor. Just Having to wait up for the coins so I can place an order before bed, got to work in the morning. I have full trust in her, just was expecting the transfer to be more timely. She has a great rate, and good customer service, just not when I finally bring the code for my 225$ MPK. I know shes VERY busy but just give me a shout on torchat (a rough ETA) on when to expect as I watch this coin drop every minute :(

I've used Sugar Mama a few times now and she's come through quickly with my bitcoin needs. A more expensive route to go than the lengthy outside bank -> dwolla -> btc exchange route, but in a pinch she's great!

You should probably start another thread with this question as this is really for reviews of my services but you have a point so I'll give you my little sales pitch for moneypak, obviously MG and WU have different pros and cons:
What you are paying for and why it is worth the extra money is:
1) Speed, the bank account routes take time to move money. You can just walk into walgreens buy a MP, send it my way and get your coins.
2) Easier anonymity. While you can get coins through your bank methods and then wash them to remove proof of ownership moneypaks can be purchased with cash in a store. No bank accounts involved.
3) Simple really. You submit an order with the MP# and amount and the coins show up in your SR account where you want to spend them so it is less work.
4) Keeping it all in the family. I really feel part of the SR family now.
Now if you need to save every cent and time is not critical and you know how to stay anonymous, there are better methods, of course. Moneypak was never supposed to be the cheapest method but it has it's benefits and if you want those benefits take the MP route. If you're a high roller and cutting out the middle men, do the work, gox and dwolla will charge you lower fees and you'll get more coin for your dollar more power to you! There is more than one way to turn a dollar into a bitcoin. Sugar Mama is just one of the ways.

I have no messages on SR saying that I cashed your MP and didn't send you coin so I am also not sure what messages am I ignoring from you. At the moment it is difficult for me to investigate this. Are the forums the first place you went? Please message me on SR so I have your SR username and include your MP#, amount and when you sent it and I will look into it. I cannot promise that a mixup didn't happen, I am human, but I can assure you I didn't scam you and would not ignore a message claiming that I did.

Well,I deposited $$ into my new Dwolla account on Dec 21, and it is now Jan 2, WAAAY more than 3-5 business days, and it still hasn't arrived in my dwolla account. I tried to call them last Friday, and today, and all I got was a fucking answering machine.
I could have bought a MP, and had BTC on the 21st. Sure, a slight premium, but worth it for speed. I recently sent Sugar Mama a money pak for BitCoins. She promised that it wouldnt take long at all to get the coin. But she cashed my Money Pak and never gave me any coins. Now she is ignoring my messages. Watch out for Sugar Mama she is a scammer.
And this post will only be believable if 10-20 more people make this claim. Would hate to think Sugar Mama is a selective scammer. I also posted on your other post, and I'll repeat it here......I was ALSO a new member, with 0 transactions, and Sugar Mama pulled through for me, even though I fucked up and didn't read the sellers page. She was polite, informative, communicative, and we all love her. \m/

I doubt she is a scammer but as a new member you are the most likely to get hit with a selective scam. If I was you I would purchase your coin from Get-Bitcoin.com or any other way than a bitcoin exchanger. I am not saying she is or isnt a scammer but newbs do get scammed on a regular basis by vendors that wouldnt scam other people

My 2nd and 4th transactions were both with Sugar Mama. She's always been good to me. I think she's been backed up with a lot of orders, but I still had my coin within 4-5 hours. If you're not sure, hit her up on torchat (check her profile).

From my last transaction with her she seemed like she had a lot of orders. I sent her a message and after about 3-4 hours without a reply I hit her up again. She then replied 5 min later saying she must have lost track of my message. She's human and gets side tracked.
But all I can say is she is the shit! All business! I just sent her a $400 MP and had my coins in a couple minutes. I was one of the first to praise her when she first came on seen.
But we're all human and shit happens in our personal lives. Remember SYG? And we get tempted. I'm sure he (STG) never intended to steal, but when that guy sent him $4000. That was his limit to take and run with his money and others.

Why do you guys use a bitcoin exchanger that charges you? I send my MP code to a vendor that I also buy drugs from and that person sends me coin with no fee. They are happy to send me coin because they want money for their drugs not coin. Sometimes I even get extra.........then I look at the xchanger fees 10% and shit thats crazy lol. So that means that guy paid $50 for the privilege of having some coin. I bought a $500 MP and gave it to my vendor yesterday and this morning I woke up with $509 worth of coin in my account.

That is a great point. It wont take much to find the location you payed for the mp. Its a small fee to pay for extra safety.

1) To the comments about the price:
First see item three below about a limited time offer to buy coin with sugar mama fees.
I have a totally revamped price structure and you can get much better rates from me with larger moneypaks. At the moment, it's either charge high for the smaller moneypaks or don't process them at all as it is difficult to process many moneypaks. Me and other vendors have often charged percentages as high as the numbers you've quoted and even higher; they just weren't as apparent as I had a set rate that was a certain percentage higher than the mtgoxlive rate based on what I bought the coin for. This was proving to be difficult during all the price jumps as I had to message everyone that had sent orders while I was out to get their approval to process their orders at the higher prices. So now I have set my prices based on the price at mtgoxlive.com at the time that I exchange.
2) Sugar Mama has totally streamlined her coin supply.
There is no need to ask if I have available coin anymore. I have not run out of coin since the first month I was a vendor, I have been estimating demand and streamlining my bitcoin purchasing so consistent supply has been available.
The only question is whether I am available. I had some issues on my end in the beginning, was on newbie mode and a bit unclear as the the full workings of the site, Sugar Mama was there the entire time on torchat and PM's, when I finally sorted out my issues, got on chat with her and she had my money to me in about 20 mins (even though originally she was going to afk for a few hours, when I mentioned it was urgent she was able to settle order asap). Hate to say it, but I think Missit is coming out of the woodwork as a scammer too. There's a thread about it and their rating is dropping pretty quickly. Not sure if they'll be able to fix all the mistakes but I hope they do for everyone's sake.

I attempted an MP to BTC exchange with sugar mama. She kept saying a had to "wait in line". After 4 days I ended up canceling the order. Just a waste of time ! No more MP exchanges for me. I now goto bitinstant.com, go make a deposit in the bank. When I get home my MtGox redemption coupon is already in my inbox. Just exchange and send it to SR account . whole process takes less than an hour and only %5.

Missit has been on SR for a long time, had a bad patch, and from my research, has tried to make good on all complaints. I am not a customer of Missit, but when I needed the BTC exchanged, I liked the fact that Missit had other business on SR, and was exchanging as a sideline at lower rates.
She did the trade in like 20 minutes from PM to BTC in my account. It was very smooth. I'm sure Mama is great, that's not my point. I wanted to just underline that a vendor with a long term track record here, that is overall good, still doing businesses after 7 months, which is s vendor eternity on SR.
25th rank out of 308 - still here and exchanging MP to BTC. I like the combination. it means that she has other income streams and is less likely to go rogue if her Green dot accounts get hung.
And as far as going to a bank counter and making a deposit to get BTC.......I would not recommend that, as I said, smile for the camera. Even if the security risk is minimal, its another predicate for exchange of cash to a "voucher or IOU for illicit substances." A Chit, in other words. That picture can really get you in the end.
Now, I am not a flame thrower, and I am certainly not insulting the above quoted poster or anyone, and anyone that may have legit complaints against Missit for a botched order might take issue with my one time exchange business.

I just completed another happy dance with Sugar Mama, and couldn't be happier! She has a backlog, so please be patient if you submit a MP to BTC order with her. If it takes a little longer than you would like, it isn't her fault- there are only so many MPs that a vendor can cash in a given period of time.
Sugar Mama is friendly, and quick to answer questions. Send her a message. Find her on Torchat. Communicate with her before you put your cash on a Moneypak- Western Union or Moneygram might be faster if you're in a hurry.
Whatever way you work out, she'll take good care of you. In a world of scammers, you can't put a price on being able to trust someone, and you can take it to the bank that Sugar Mama is a trustworthy vendor, and THE BEST WAY TO GET COIN ANONYMOUSLY.
Also, be aware that SR has changed the feedback weight of digital transactions, so take the time to actually read her feedback, instead of relying on seller rank alone (you should always do this anyway). All the comments speak very highly of Sugar Mama because she takes care of her customers.

Tough to say because it really depends on how many MPs are in queue, and of those, how many are actually real. My first transaction only took about 24 hours from the time Sugar Mama actually received it (she was on vaca when I submitted the PM with code, but her page reflected that, so I wasn't surprised). My last transaction took about 7 days because of the large number of MPs ahead of mine.
This is why I suggest messaging her if the info on her seller's page isn't specific enough. Moneypak is faster and easier if there's a short queue, but if there's a long line, WU or MG will be faster. Rates are about the same.
Sugar Mama won't cash the MP until she's ready to deposit coins, so you can still spend the MP elsewhere up until the time she does.

I would give your moneypak a week MAXIMUM to be processed. Thats how long it took for my 100 usd money pak. I got 19.49 bit coins or something.
The price is definitely worth it and you can definitely trust this vendor.
It was my first transaction on SR and it went smoothly.

Has anybody ever used Western Union to buy btc from her? It says that the WU has been picked up, does that mean I'll have my coins tonight? (considering with the MP she cashes them right before sending, but WU you have to go get so I could see it taking a little while)
EDIT: lol well that was quick, sent my WU for next day yesterday at around 7PM, just got my coins today probably somewhere around 930PM. SUPER FAST and for an awesome rate. I'm just happy I rounded up a bit just in case, product I wanted to buy was 135 so I sent enough to get 145$ and got 141$ worth. Well worth the ease of things.

Recently I placed an order for "Need bitcoins? Bitcoins for your moneypak." from Sugarmama for the amount of $250 on the 15th of February. However, today I received a message saying:
"We are sorry to inform you that Sugar Mama has canceled your order of (1) Need bitcoins? Bitcoins for your moneypak.. Your payment has been returned to your account and we hope that you can find a suitable replacement from another seller."
This was a bummer and thought she had not processed or touched my MP card. However, upon trying to deposit my MP card using paypal, the $250 was gone. I hope this is a misunderstanding on SugarMama's part.... due to her "promise":
"I NEVER cash the MP unless I am about to send coin, so no need to ask about my availability, if I am not available or get hit by a truck you can always take your MP elsewhere, I don't mind."
I will update this when I hear back from her. I tried contacting her using TorPM, but after mentioning the cancellation I received no reason for doing so as well as an excuse to leave for the rest of the night.

hrm, Sugarmama profile says just slowgoing but placed order Sunday 2/26 and have not heard any communication. Sent pm this am looking for eta and no response yet. The last post in this thread is makin me a little nervous. Dont really want to call green dot to see if balance is there or put to paypal or anything. might have to see if another vendor will do a trans and see if it is already caahed but i hate doing that cause it seems really shady to me.
Edit : it's been 48 hours since order and no communication, but I'm going to wait and see. Don't want to muddy the waters with another vendor and it is not so much $ that I need to get bent out of shape. Although Sugar Mama has been logged in today, I'll hope she is just really busy or getting pestered by impatient ppl because of the recent shortages or something and will make it good. Long story short: ordered late Sunday, woke up to coins today. I didn't send any messages, so I didn't expect any.
I can understand someone getting nervous with a few hundred dollars in the wind and no convo.
On the real, nobody else will touch MoneyPaks. I'm not a huge fan of talking to humans to do a western union, so it worked for me.

There is no way for me to know whether you sent me an empty moneypak or sent it to another vendor. On the other there is also the possibility that something else occurred that is not your fault. It is unfortunate but moneypak doesn't have a clear chain of ownership. According to support (I attempt to investigate all scam claims) you have dealt with other exchangers. That doesn't mean anything by itself and I will continue to investigate. The first thing I need is the MP# as I no longer have access to it. That will possibly (no guarantees) allow me to investigate deeper than I can at the moment. I am in no way accusing you and would like to get to the bottom of this as much if not more than you do. I only enjoy this business when my customers are happy and this sort of thing, as rare as it is (only like the second time it's happened) makes me want to just quit. :( 8 days read

Hi, I just bought USD200 of bitcoins via moneypak. I put in the # this morning and when I got off work this evening the BC's were there in my account. Been a lurker here for a while, but chose to finally do business recently. Chose Sugar Mama as the vendor to deal with, based on reviews. I was buying a large amount (for my budget), 70+ bitcoins, and even so, the turnaround was a couple hours. He/She was responsive on torchat too. For what it's worth, I'd do business again.

I know Mama has been slow going after the bitcoin price drop. I placed my order last Monday (placed early AM) and received my coins this evening.
Mama did contact me prior to the above order being filled to inform me i made an error in the MP code in another larger order i had placed with her (a few days after the first order), i did not hear back after sending the correct code back to her ( i was over 19 hours in responding myself). This order has since been cancelled by Mama ( which i assume is due to fault on my part). I have sent her a message to see what i need to do to resubmit the order and that is where i stand currently.
I don't mean this to read as positive or negative, just wanted to add what info i could to help with peoples questions.

Sugar Mama is definitely legit and will get you your coins eventually. In my case took 6 1/2 days. Profile now says this so that's an improvement. Idid message her after 36hrs and would have appreciated a reply even if it just said may take a week. I never tried torchat so maybe that is the best way to contact.

So, I figured I'd just leave a review to assuage some of the doubts people are having. I'm a long time member of SR (1 year) but I've never had any reason to use the forum so the account is new. I've had plenty of completed transactions (30+) and I've even bought from anarcho47 (that Jack and Hempstar were fuckin fantastic btw). I just completed a transaction for 200+ with Sugar Mama. She takes a while but she's up front about that and I wasn't in any hurry. The no communication aspect of transactions with her seems to be bothering a bunch of people. I just figured she was working her way down the list to me and obviously she was. When it came time to do the deal she was as communicative as any other vendor I've dealt with. The actual total time it took for the transaction was about a week.
I've dealt with Sugar Mama one other time aside from this transaction. The first time I tried to use her she had sudden delays and so I went and used another vendor despite having sent her the moneypak code. I explained about this and she was totally fine with it and willingly cancelled the order. She didn't empty out the moneypak or anything like that and when I came back for this transaction, because I wasn't in a hurry for coins, it went smoothly. In addition, there was a small problem (on my end) with the code and she helped me solve it. So, to wrap this ramble up, Sugar Mama seems like a legit vendor to me, just don't expect your coins immediately and be patient as she works her way down to your order.

I have completed two MP orders with Mama in the past 24 hours. A 200+ order took just under a week (as she explained it would in her profile) and was completed to my satisfaction. The most recent to clear was 1000 MP that i had sent earlier in the week and was cancelled a few days after. The cancelation was due to my putting a number in wrong on the MP and it took very little time for Mama to help me resolve the issue and finish my purchase. She communicated with me throughout the time she was handling my order (from her attempt to redeem till i was able to resubmit it correctly.) and was very happy to help.
Some of the above posts (mine possibly included) generated worry that Mama maybe up to something nefarious. I was worried for a short period of time when i saw my order had been cancelled, spending time on the forums and her feedback to see what people were saying.
Well now i feel dumb for even remotely accepting that possibility.
Mama is a proven reliable, trustworthy, and honest source for the cheapest BTC on SR. She has won my exclusive patronage for all of my BTC needs.

I would highly suggest not using sugar mama for bitcoins. this is the first silkroad transaction and am pretty sure I've been scammed out of $105. It's been 4 days since i placed the order, have tried reaching her through messages and even downloaded tor chat to see if he was online. So, far not luck, all in all it been horrible costumer service, horrible turnaround time, and a horrible first transaction. I would take my money elsewhere if i were you. Hopefully this is just a mistake and i can vouch for her buisness very soon but currently i have no faith.

Vendor's rate quote is 8% for >$500. My intended purchase was $550 USD. The store I purchased the MP at could not do over $500, so I told them to split it into 2 MP at $275 each for $550 total. I mentioned this in the single order I placed and included both MP codes. The vendor chose to treat it as 2 transactions for $275 at a rate of 15%, more than twice the rate anticipated. I now have insufficient funds for an important purchase which will have been delayed more than 3 days already, and is not available at a bulk discount for less. This leaves me either bugging my supplier for a custom order and looking like an asshole, or losing a great deal of profit which was intended to pay my bills and get my girl to school for the next couple of weeks. Her decision to rip me off for a petty $38 extra leaves me in a very bad position which could cost me 50% of my expected profit and has cost me several days of business.
I have asked her to correct this, and I will update this post if it happens to be a mundane error, but I see no other possibility than she has chosen to screw a customer over $38... Absolutely ridiculous.

Vendor explained that the cost and inconvenience of converting more than one MP code was the reason for double rate fees. It was explained to me that nowhere on her profile does it say fees are per transaction or order. I suppose that is true.

Sugar Mama has been pure gold for me. I've used other methods to get BTC, and other moneypak-to-bitcoin vendors here on SR, but after a few transactions with Sugar Mama I've found my standby.
I've always gotten my BTC within 48 hours, this last exchange was under 24 hours. The 8% commission on $500 moneypaks is totally fair, as good or better than any of the main vendors, plus the speed and customer service is better. To me it's absolutely worth the small fee because of the total reliability, ease, and pleasant experience.
I recommend Sugar Mama without reservation to any silk roaders.

Well Sugar Mama is a really nice person. Her profile is on point. It took a hot minute but nothing is perfect, and she was upfront with it in her profile. In all honesty she can be trusted, and that is what you need in an exchanger. Her and BTCpal are my to go people simply because I've done business with both reliably. Sugar Mama takes a bit longer but not by much both are dependable though.
But the plus to Sugar Mama is that she does the happy dance after, and so do you! :p That is why she will always be my sugar mama. And once she pointed out a MoneyPak I gave her for $265 that I gave her the okai to cash cuz I dont remember having it. And she pointed it that it was not used. But she lost the code to it after me giving it to her twice. But maybe one day when I have time to look for it I might give it to her, if only my room wasnt a mess LOL but a very honest vender.

Her times are going to vary as to how many btc you need. She has slots basically. Like 10. So she has to queue 10 orders at a time. Obviously bigger orders are going to take a priority. Last time I used her (my first time) she was backed up & it took 2-3 days to process a $500+ order. Just got coins from her yesterday & it was again for over $500 & once she understood i needed them asap I had them in less than 24 hours.
She's taking a commission fee off of this, so repeat customers & large orders do get favored towards the top of the queue. If you just pm her & ask her, you would have to see what her approx conversion time is for your particular value MP. She will be able to estimate when your order will be fulfilled.
More top notch service from sugar mama, will be back for more coins.

just placed my first order with the sugarmama tonight after always doing the usual multi-step, multi-account, takes-forever method. Bought a moneypak from wal-mart, followed the instructions on her page and placed an order with the moneypak number and amount in the address box on the order page. Just to be redundant I also sent her a message with the dollar amount and the moneypack number. I honestly did some work for like an hour or so and then went to a couple stores for another 2 hours or so and when I came back I had the coins. It couldn't have taken more than 4 hours tops. There is def the commission to take into consideration, but I never had any luck with the other reasonably priced quick methods and if you are doing transactions over 400 bucks or so she is very, very reasonably priced. I have only done one deal with her, but from my experience if you need coins quickly, reliably, easily, and well-priced I give her my highest recommendation.

Now the announcement:
WU/MG FEE FREE sale is back! The no fee deal is for senders of $500 and up. However for $500 and below the fees have dropped from 8% to 6% (with a $30 minimum fee). So send me $500 or more via WU or MG and I will not charge you a fee! I am considering offering no fee or really low fees on smaller moneygrams, these are offered in many CVS's, walmarts and other common stores (and other stores outside the US but I don't know which) but I haven't decided so if you are interested in this send me a message and we'll discuss.
There is also a rate change to MPs orders of $150 and below. Essentially I have initiated a $25 minimum fee for anything below $150. All other MP rates remain the same. All this info is available on my vendor page.

Cons: Fees. They are clearly stated on Sugar Mamas profile but somehow they always hurt more once they're charged. To give an idea of how much it can cost to get bitcoin from Sugar Mama, I sent her a Moneypak for $200 USD and received $168 worth of bitcoin after fees. I understand that the more bitcoin you buy, the lower the rates get, however as an end user(purchaser of small, personal amounts), I will never see those rates as my purchases will always be $200 or under
All in all I'm satisfied but will probably use another seller for future bitcoin purchases.

Well, how well Sugar Mama has grown and built a reputation against all the odds and indeed, has proved to be an asset to this place..! Especially for newcomers or people like me who have no recourse to certain facilities because of the country I live in.

I've never gone thru Sugar Mama, but I've always admired the fact that she came on here and started vending, during the worst possible climate for inhouse btc vendors I'd seen. We'd just gotten ripped off bigtime by a popular vendor, and another was in the process of doing a bunch of people wrong, and many of us were pretty vocal on here about *not* using inhouse vendors. She took it all in stride, didn't scream and and jump up and down ;) . She just steadily built up the good reputation she now holds. That's the only way to do it, with btc, with any product on here, but btc particularly, since there's no escrow, all you have is your reputation, so, well done, SM :)

It's scary buying coin. The fretting and praying and hoping drive you nuts. My transactions with Mama have been wonderful. I'm still impatient but I no longer worry and I lose no sleep. If I order late in the day, I awake and find my coin. Bigger orders are filled quicker than small ones, big ones often within hours, but that's just how it works. Honestly, be at ease. Sure the price is higher than using the exchange yourself, but this way you don't have to have your ID verified when trading large amounts of coin. You also never have to step foot inside a bank to make a deposit simply go to wal-mart or kroger. I think you can even do $2000 on a single MP at wal-mart now.

Service was nothing less than exceptional. I sent her funds by way of Western Union. I went out to the store for a bit and when I got home my coins were in my SR account. Had to be less than 2 hours. This is my second time buying from sugar mama and I must say I am quite satisfied. It took less than two hours to cash my MP and it wasn't even a big pack. She is one of the vendors on here I would recommend if you're nervous about getting ripped off, I've never had or heard of anyone having problems with her.

If you are worried about this at all like I was, definitely go with Sugar Mama. Those random people offering lower rates are just going to take your money with nothing in return. I hear ya. Doublelift got me for $500.00 worth of BTC. Send a note to SR Support telling them how much he owes you cuz they suspended his account after I turned him in and they said it will not be reactivated unless he pays ALL his debts, so let them know you're one of them okay!
But yes, Sugar Mama saved the day for me as well.

A few nights ago, I noticed that the big (and most reliable) Moneypak vendors were conspicuously absent, so I placed an order with Mxchamp--he seemed to have good feedback and I was feeling impatient. However, after 24 hours passed, he cancelled my order without explanation, and my mind jumped to the worst possibility: that I'd been scammed out of $150.00 because I was impatient. I called to inquire about my Moneypak balance, and all of my funds remained--whew! Even though I hadn't been scammed, I made a vow to be patient and ALWAYS use reliable BTC vendors when converting large sums of money. I'd used Sugar Mama before with great results, so I placed another order with her shortly after ensuring that my funds hadn't been drained by the other MP vendor (just an aside--no offense to MxChamp. It's not his fault; it's just where my mind reflexively went). Her product description included the reminder "for the patient," so I assumed it would take at least 24 hours to fill, which I didn't mind. Out of curiosity, I logged in this afternoon to check the status of my Moneypak conversion, and lo and behold, the coins were in my account and her kind message was in my inbox--they'd been there for almost 15 hours, meaning Sugar Mama had filled my MP order hours after I sent her the information despite her "for the patient" warning. So, once again, I was very pleasantly surprised by Sugar Mama. She's one of the few MP vendors who has never let me down, and while I'm on SR, she has my trust and business. Thanks Sugar Mama!

haven't had to get coin for awhile but just wanted to point out -
sugarmama got me my first coin. my nerves were on edge but she talked me through it (torchat!). used someone else once when she was super busy and it wasn't as smooth. back to sugarmama it was. id estimate that weve had 7 successful transactions over the last year or so.
advice:
check her status before ordering - if she's swamped it could take a few days but she makes that info available to you

i know this is the mp to btc thread, but just so you know...... from a vendor who has dealt with a LOT of different exchangers, sugar mama is the best on SR that i have used. not to say anything bad about other ones, and i could, but SM has never ever given me a bad moneypak and has never ever been anything but completely honest and up front. now i'm glad she isn't a customer cuz i sell the tweak, but if we could just get her to up 24 hours a day that would be cool :)

This was my first SR transaction and I'm glad it was with Sugar Mama. I figured i would have to be patient... like a few days patient, but bang funds where there next day when i woke up. I'll be going back to sugar mama in the future for sure, the fee means nothing when I get to work with someone trustworthy.
The forum posts were a big help too in determining who to trust with my MP. All the good words said about Sugar Mama seems to hold true, Honest, Fast, and just an overall stress-free experience.

I've seen other people cashing in MoneyPak's ask for this. The general area must be needed for them to cash out the MoneyPak. I don't think it's a shady thing. I think they need it.
no, theres absolutely no reason to need someones information to cash-in on a money pak. all you need are the digits, and its available. pre-paid cards are very easy to get. all you need is a card and the number, and an atm machine. load card , hit atm.

Totally legit! I had my doubts and thought for aminute I may have fucked up and made a newbie mistake! Sugar mama even made a small exception with moneypaks that were a little less than her standard minimum. Rates were pretty fair. It took 2 days, like it said in the profile, so dont freak out if it doesn't happen immediately! Can't sing her praises enough, since it would be so easy to rip someone off with this business!

"Why not use a vendor with better rates and turnaround time?" I've had lucky exchanges at or near 0%, but I've also been scammed. I learned the hard way that a scammer can generate fake feedback and a 100 rating using bogus buyer accounts that they setup.
After 2 scams, I resigned to using only the most trustworthy vendors even if they cost a little more or take longer. These days, Sugar Mama is the only one left that I trust (with reasonable rates). 10% for $400 (8% for $500+) is very reasonable, imho. If more people took time to save for bigger MPs, they would get better rates and probably better turnaround time.
SM's profile warns it may take a couple days, but that seems to be the worst-case scenario. Maybe small MPs take longer but my recent turnaround times have been 4 to 20 hours. Maybe Sugar Mama wants to undersell and over-deliver to improve satisfaction, or maybe saying 2 days helps keep order volume manageable -- but I bet the main idea is to avoid the "how much longer?" messages. It must take sellers a huge amount of time to deal with their SR messages, considering how slow it is.
Someone asked why people use MP instead of cheaper alternatives. MP is easy for people who don't want to learn about bitcoin (exchanges, wallets, the bitcoin network, block chains, tumbling and other security concepts...). Some people understand bitcoins but feel safer using MP, and some of them even have sound logic (but always debatable, and this thread/forum isn't about BTC security).

Maybe I didn't look hard enough (pretty new here), but sugar mama was the only vendor I found that had an impeccable history, and decent rates. Another vendor was charging twice as much (like 40%) for the same service. Sugar mama's listing also stressed that it was "for the patient", so I don't think that's her usual turnaround time. Mine took almost 2 days, but I also only had 2 MP's, each worth $75. Her minimum is $100, so she made an exception for me. I figure sh's gotta make some money off the whole deal, and she's so reliable! PM me if you do know a cheaper vendor that's equally legit though... I'd love to have that info!

There are scammers dying to answer your question about a cheaper "legit" vendor. Is it worth losing it all on the chance you may save a few %? Save longer so you can get a bigger MP and you'll save with Sugar Mama.
Scammers set up fake forum and buyer accounts to make their operations appear legit before they kick into high gear on their scamming. They can be appear very convincing.

I left SM for a cheaper/faster BC dealer and after a few exchanges he/she emptied my $400 MP. Its worth a few extra bucks for me to have peace of mind. IMO she's the closest you can get to a sure thing for MP exchanges.

My $100 MP was processed in just a few hours- the best MP vendor on SR- there are some newer vendors with lower rates, but you can never be sure they won't run off once a big MP comes through.

My recourse is nonexistent as I'm now out of $850 with only a "sux for you" from the vendor I purchased it from, not even a partial refund or any consolation other than "sux for you". I couldn't, in good faith, risk being defrauded in such a way again without recourse, so as I already pm'ed to Sugar Mama, the only way I could ever send my BTC for MP again to ANY VENDOR on here is I would have to require that the seller send me jpg scans of the receipt and original card they bought. If they can't do that, then you're putting yourself in a very reckless spot where if you get fucked, you have no recourse but to post feedback about your experience like I'm doing now. Problem is I don't feel vindicated. I'm still pissed that someone stole almost a thousand dollars from me, so the best I can hope is that this information helps the next buyer be aware of what's possible when you trade btc on SR. @BigPeyote: Whoever purchased the $850 in MoneyPaks that I bought from Sugar Mama is who stole my $. They watied until I cashed them and then contacted GreenDot to accuse me of some sort of fraud that has my account being investigated and is now frozen with over $1000 of my money on top of the $850 in question which I don't have a receipt for. GreenDot is now telling me they're going to deduct the $ from my account then CLOSE MY ACCOUNT for this. That sounds like theft to me. Fraud, bullshit, whatever you wanna call it. Either way I got fucked out of almost $1000 with no recourse to get it back. That's why I posted my experience so this doesn't happen to anyone else. Just ask yourself, maybe it won't happen on this trade or the next, but when it does, will it be worth what you gained by the few times it did work? Not for me. Not when I'm trading $1000 almost every time. One scam and I lost out on what I would gain from 20 or more trades. So to me it's not worth it to do 19 more good trades that work out then have one that is such a huge loss that it eats up any profit I made on the previous 19. Not good math in my book. That's why I'll require scans of the receipt if I buy MP again. I'm not trying to bash Sugar Mama's business skill or ethic, I'm just sayin' this whole method of trading leaves the end user vulnerable to getting scammed in a way that would be completely nonexistent if vendors selling btc for MP simply required MP buyers to send a jpg of the receipt as well. All would lovely then and the risk of the original MP buyer being able to scam the BTC seller or the person loading the MP would diminish to a point of not existing at all. Just my thoughts.

Just traded with SM, and only took a few hours. I like how she even included the math, so I could see how it worked out to the amount it did. Fast, fair, would deal with her again, definitely.

For the record, like I said I wasn't trying to bash Sugar Mama's business ethic by posting the details of my experience. The inherent flaw I "discovered" in this systematic method of btc to mp trading that makes someone involved vulnerable to theft with no recourse is the target of my complaint. If scanning jpegs that can be verified somehow became the standard for trading with mp's then Sugar Mama would be the first person I'd place an order with. Just wanna make it known that I DON'T feel like Sugar Mama isn't the best BTC/MP exchanger on SR, as this could have happened to any vendor on here who trades money, so with that said. Let's find a way to make this a less vulnerable way to trade. Any ideas? There are some geniuses on here, someone has an idea that can work here! ;)

Great as usual! Sugar Mama, 4/5 times I have dealt with her, has always cashed out my MP within 2-3 hours, tops. This time, it took 2 days. It did say on the listing that MPs would be slower and for the patient, so that is definitely not a problem. I just hope I was not too pesky because I kept asking about the speed since I am naturally impatient. Rest assured people, she will cash it out for you within 2 days. Thanks Sugar Mama! I did a MP to BTC with sugar mama recently.
It went smooth, so I would recommend this method. However, I did find the fees are a bit high if you are only trading like 100-200 bucks.
I prefer Bitinstant, but would use sugar mama again if my preferred method wasn't feasible.

You made a good choice in moneypak vendor, Luca. I used her for about 10 transactions. I used 2 other moneypak vendors btcpal and btcking with good luck but higher rates of exchange.
Once your first order gets to you in the mail, you are going to be shaking your head that this is possible and relatively safe compared to a local street dealer. The community is, by and large, caring and helpful.
There are less expensive ways to get BTC that you can attempt in the future, but the anonymity of moneypak and the honesty of SugarMama will do just fine for now

I remember when SugarMama got started here, right after a previous inhouse btc vendor had just pulled a scam on a whole lot of people, so I was very skeptical, even a bit rude, to all btc vendors on here...just too easy to rip people...but after that, TradeHill went down, and other 'outside' vendors were sketchy too, andI realized that finally, I just had to trust somebody on here, so I went with SM...
Since then, I"ve had several fairly large transactions with SugarMama. I have to other guys I also go with, at times, depending on who I think is moving fastest. One of them has gone stealth, the other, is bank only, no moneypak' ... So I have to jump in here and say that SugarMama has never been other than honest and straight forward with me, always replies to messages, and even when she has slowed down, she doesn't bullshit around, always says how it will be, and that is how my transactions with here are: honest and reliable.
She's in a tough business: newbies don't know *who* to trust on here, and it's understandable that they get discouraged: so many dishonest people trying to make a quick buck.
But not SugarMama. She's an excellent bitcoin provider, and has always been right on the money, for me....

Did a small MP transaction w/Sugar Mama. Took about 60 hours or so, including a Sunday. My only gripe, she did not deposit into the instawallet that I had requested, instead directly into my SR account. No big deal I guess, but if I make a request for an order, I would like to at least be told no, haha. Anyway, overall positive transaction, fees are 3-4 times what I used to pay for MP transactions, but hey, I guess that's where the market is. Anyway, I will not hesitate to use Sugar Mama in the future if I have similar needs.

Another smooth sugar mama transaction. She had no listings up for MP to BTC, but there were no other vendors I trust with listings either, so I messaged her. She sent me a link to her listing for patient folks and it set expectations properly. Took a little over 48 hours, messaged Sunday afternoon, sent code Sunday evening, and when I woke up early Wednesday my BTC were in my acct. There was a thread about Sugar Mama cashed MP but no BTC. My friend was in that mix (not the goofy $45 guy) but a legitmate $500MP. Had him text her, she responded looking into it, then boom the BTC were there. Sugar Mama came through in spades.

I went and bought $500 moneypak, and logged in expecting to go with SM, but she has her btc sales down...you know the 'one for the patient' isn't there, so I need to find elsewhere...most of the people I used to go with don't seem to be selling right now...I'm trying to decide between captainmal or gangster16 as they're doing moneypaks...anybody have experience with either of these people?

Got my coins quickly. Edit: Upon reading previous postings in this thread, I thought I should put a little more detail into my post. This was my first time buying Bitcoin. All the other methods had too many moving parts for me or required your IRL info at some point in the transaction. I came upon Sugar Mama as a viable means to acquire Bitcoin via an IRL friend. Understandably, I was a bit nervous at first, but I decided to follow through with the transaction. I initiated the transaction late in the evening before bed and had Bitcoin sitting in my account when I woke up. Anyways, that's my two cents -- so take it for what it's worth.

Hi. I'm new to SR and just wanted to chime in on Sugar Mama's service/product. After reading quite a bit about obtaining bitcoins, I felt that the quickest and easiest way for me to get bitcoins is through moneypak to bitcoins via Sugar Mama. Sure, it costs a little more than other methods, but it was anonymous and as simple as running to the 7-11 down the street.
All in all, it took about a day for the coins to show up.

I just bought $500 in coin from Sugar Mama using a moneypak. This was my first time doing a transaction with Sugar Mama and I will use her from now on as my sole supplier for bitcoins. She got my coins to me within about 24 hours which I felt was very quick service given the fact that she specified in her listing that the orders were taking a little longer than normal. Western Union got hit with investigations surrounding money laundering... so I'm almost certain that's the reason SugarMama doesn't deal with WU anymore.

I needed some bitcoins in my account turned back into cash (I'm not a vendor, I just decided to stop doing heroin for now and wanted the couple hundred I deposited back). MtGox apparently has a $800 minimum for turning btc to cash, so I looked for another way. Sugar Mama has a free bitcoin to moneypak service, and messaged me within minutes of me purchasing her listing. Has anyone heard from Sugar?? I got close to a grand in money packs and need to purchase some coins. I saw on here vendor page on SR that her last update was 5-2. Anyone know if she still has coins?? Or if Surgar Mama is reading this please respond, I also sent you a message on SR Want to get these coins before/if anything bad happens to the site. SR Is loading about 5 times as fast as the forum for me right now! Never seen it so fast ever!

SR is blazing fast right now. And I just turned on incognito browsing (no photos) for the first time and that makes it load even faster... clearnet speeds.
Anyhow, I just used Sugar Mama yesterday and my coins came through really fast. She doesn't update her profile page every day, only when there's something different about that particular day (a particular time she will be offline until, etc.). In any case, I would submit my order to her with confidence that coins will be turned around in less than 24 hrs--every time I've used her I've gotten my coins in less than 12 hrs.

I've never, ever had a problem with Sugar Mama. She usually gets things processed within 24 hrs, but most of the time is a lot faster than that. Give her that amount of time and msg her again if it hasn't come through. She will not fuck you over, that's for sure. She makes more from staying legit long term than she could by just absconding with funds. If anything, it has something to do with the site logging her off repeatedly as it has done to other users today.
Don't worry :) And she will respond to your msg too when she sees it.

I put in two orders yesterday for a total of $950 and got the coins just shy of 24 hours later. I wouldn't worry about it. That was just a couple hours ago.

i used Sugar mama when sr was down for 800 and she processed within 24hrs and while sr was up responded to my messages fast. dont worry she didnt run off with your 1000$. add a few zeroes to the end and we never know but your 1000 is safe lol

I just used her sunday, did the moneypak at 9am, came home from work at 5pm, and had the BTC.
Very fast, no bs, just straightforward, MP to BTC,.

It's no hassel, and anonymous, but now i'm short some coin for a 50 gram mdma order from dutchtrade I was about to place... Oh well. I'll just buy 20 grams and sit on the rest of my coins until they increase in value. Which i believe they will in a week or so.
Anyway, SugarMama is a great way to get fast, anonymous bitcoins!

I wanted to be a vendor for Mp/BTC so I sat down and hashed out how to move everything around. When you really think of the shit involved to get funds to her bank account safely and the fees she gets hit with. she is making from my math(as fucked as it could be) roughly 5-7% so thats at 15%, at 10 it would of been a near loss. plus the time involved. and the large amounts of cash needing to be held to cover all bets.
im not saying i like the 15% but I like having a reliable mp vendor and I know if it was lower then it wouldnt be worth her time and she would move on, leaving us with even less options. Plus she offers 10% for orders over 2k so i mean the most your losing wiht the 15% vs 10% is $5 per 100 / 50 per 1000 for under 2k orders. that isnt that bad. now the fees for under 400 yea they are high as hell LOL but just buy a bigger order and avoid those(which I believe is the point of such high fees so you just opt for the magnum sized condom instead of the cheap lifestyle condom)

Me too south paw I get a 500 dollar mp and shes on fucking vacation, I could feel my heart drop. The guy I used several months ago burnt me for the same amount so I am very hesitant to hand over another half g to another scum bag parasite scammer. Any info on reliable coin vendors, please chime in.

Ive never used sugar mama but I can absolutely vouch for "jumbomonkeybiscuit," I used him for coins for my 1st ever SR purchase and hes a great guy, had the coins in literally minutes. he charges a 15% fee and the minimum exchange amount is $500 if you go the moneypak, reloadit, etc. route but hes 100% legit, great with communication/questions, and turns orders over really fast. only reason im not using him right now is cause I can only do about $300 in coins. hopefully i can come back here in a little bit and post the same about coinX.

@ Perseverance I'm sorry we could not help you with your moneypak order. Moneypak and other reloads are making it almost impossible to continually process order at the volume we were going. We had to implement a min for the time being until we sort the mess out. I'm sure all coin vendors will be feeling the same heat soon.....

My guess is she's worked so hard and made so much money she's got her feet up chillin' somewhere. I'd be making other plans fo sho. Shame to see her gone. Tough to find that kind of work ethic and honesty in a place like this. I hope she's doing exactly what i suggested because she damn sure earned it even though it sucks not to have her around.
