First of all had a package sent from freedome, with express and tracking. i was told that signature would not be required on delivery!! the post office thinks otherwise.
The package was not sent in my name therefore cant be picked up under my ID. also the package took two weeks express is there any chance LE could have picked it up and organised for it to be "signature required on delivery"
anyone been in a similar situation? need thoughts and opinions ASAP
also has anyone had experience with freedome? is he legit?
-
freedome is as legit as they come. He ships fast and well and has quality products. I have had several intl suceesses with this vendor.
Ordering in a false name is a no no in my book. If the name on the package at the PO is the same name as you ordered under then it's goodbye to the pkg isn't it?
Have you talked with freedome about this? What did he say about it? Please do so before leaving inaccurate feedback for him as he is one of the best vendors here.
-
i am not leaving inacurate feedback, i just want to know peoples thoughts. he has been helpful and i am awaiting a reply from him at the moment. no disrespect to freedome at all. but i just want to know that if he said signature wont be required is there a possibilty that LE snatched it and resent it so that it did require a signature on delivery. thoughts?

It sounds very very shaky. If he is a legitimate vendor and guaranteed no signature, then I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I would call the post office and tell them that you thought it was something else you were expecting and you don't know what that is.
But if it got pinched that's a reflection of Freedome's shipping on that particular item, so I would be looking for some kind of refund as a buyer because that is a serious risk to you and it's not worth it for a trip or a fix.

Yea well i have no doubts he is a legimate vendor due to feedback and what i have heard. The parcel was sent from europe to OS express with tracking so maybe it was simply the post that decided it needed signature on delivery. i do not know how to take this situation. and am still waiting on freedomes input into this. maybe this has happened before?

Well, i suppose the right question to ask is...
Has anyone in the states that ordered from freedome actually needed to sign for their delivery? If nobody has, then i'd say avoid going to the PO like the plague.
Personally, i really dont like ordering anything from out of the country. I've never had a bad experience, it's just a personal preference. Plus, i really hate waiting lol.
Good luck on this one. I hope it all turns out good for you in the end.

Hi zxcv90,
This happened to me with a package from freedome recently. As I had used a fake name I was unsure what to do, but in the end I collected it and all was fine. The product was worth it too! I didn't blame freedome because at the time he wasn't offering express, but I made a specific request. He has since said that he is using a different express method. Do you mind saying how long ago this was ordered?
Either way, let us know how it goes.

It is my understanding that Express Flat Rate requires a signature, unless the seller checks off a box that says 'No Signature Required' and puts a stamp on it that says that as well.
This happened to me a month or so ago with a package I ordered Express. I had previously ordered Priority(Which does not require a sig) and I was told Express was the same, but faster.
Turns out we were both wrong (buyer and seller) and it did require a signature. The postman asked me to sign, which freaked me out for a second or two, but I stayed calm, signed, and that was it, off he went. (I did look around to see if anyone was hanging around, and I did double check the package to see if it possibly had been opened).
Your problem is that you now have to go to the post office and the package isn't in your name. You are going to have to decide how exactly you can pick it up without proper ID and whether or not you have the cajones enough to try it.
I would be worried that if you don't pick it up, and they try sending it back, what happens to it? Who will end up opening it and what happens after that.
The best I can think of is calling them and asking if they can re-deliver it, then be there when the postman comes. They don't usually ask for ID when you are sitting in your doorway signing it. Your only worry is do they know whats in it because if they do, and you sign for it, even though it is not in your name, you will have a lot more explaining to do.

how did you pick it up when it wasnt in your name?
@captainjojo, thanks. i am considering all options at the moment. still unsure as to how to take on this situation.

I fake signed it authorising myself to pick it up (id from addressee wasn't required), then had to present my id to get it :S. Fake id could have been good had it been an option. I don't know if I would have gone in if it weren't for a particular event I wanted it for. In the end it was well packaged. I'm in Aus btw. Which country you in?
