I just thought i should warn people canada post is totally fucked up right now. i believe usps is telling customers not to even bother sending mail to canada. the canadian postal system is totally logjamed. Send at your own risk, i would advise if you have to send something into canada to use a parcel service. right now in canada i'm getting mail sent from within country a few days later but still have mail from 30 days ago outstanding. i believe international mail will be held up for a long time, i'd be amazed if they are even sorting it, last i knew there were hundreds of trucks of mail from usa stuck at border with nowhere to go. i've heard of people who had packages sent from as far back as june 2nd from usa still not having it delivered. just a heads up.

Hope it gets cleared up soon. :x
-
Shit. Does this also apply to mail coming from canada?
-
Just a heads up, i heard from someone that its "rolling strike" and not nationwide. Buyer said his area was not affected.
-
that was true a month ago wildboy, then it went to fullstrike/lockout for 11 days ending the 27th and now they are having major issues clearing the massive backlog of mail.
-
Priority post is only taking an extra day or two tops, the log jam was really bad the first week back, I wouldn't worry about it now though.

Hmmm...conflicting responses. Buyer said hes been getting mail - ill try and see what happens.

there is no conflicting report, the fullstrike ended 27th, mindblown says mail is only delayed a day or 2 which is probably true. there is a huge backlog of mail but apparently new mail maybe getting priority. there is still a huge backlog. this is from canada post today yesterday
" the postal system has been managing a backlog of about 40 million pieces of Lettermail"
"We expect that our mail processing activities as well as our overall delivery performance will begin approaching normal levels within a couple of weeks"
this was posted from canada post yesterday. so as you see theres a huge backlog which will take weeks to clear. sorting plants are so full of mail they are storing it in trucks and just driving it around i've heard. i cant really speak much about new mail entering the system but i did recieve a package today at work mailed just a few days ago, but i've also got 2 packages sent before/during the lock out which have not shown up. aka mail system is really fucked. this is why i made thread warning because its so unstable right now it seems to me. also canada post has totally suspended all forms of tracking for packages aswell as all delivery guarentees.

Still haven't received my package from Canada. It was shipped Monday July 4th. Most packages from this vendor arrived to the eastern US within 4 days. I am hoping it shows up in my box Monday :(
-
The first time I actually buy something from SR and its still in the mail system thanks to this backlog. Hope they were packaged well :\
Seller was also Canadian and provided a refund.
Old mushrooms in the mail sounds gross though, lol... if they even come.

Has anyone else had luck receiving international mail since the strike ended? Sucks that it's impossible to find domestic vendors for anything else other than herb or shrooms...
-
got my package today. no problems
-
I just had a customer receive a package that I sent out almost 4 weeks ago. They just got it today. Wanted to post an update :)
-
yikes. Good dope and no way to send it. Hope it resolves soon.
-
Had one of my orders finalized today that was shipped out on the 9th. Just wanted to update. Is this Canada post strike over yet or is it still ongoing?
-
It' slong over but there has been a backlog of 40million + pieces of mail they are having to work through. From what I've read it's pretty much cleared up, but it depends on the area being shipped to.

I think that the strike ended about two weeks ago and the mail is now moving normally.
