So I was dropping off a package at one of the blue boxes in front of the post office, and used a plastic bag like someone suggested to avoid fingerprints. I noticed this lady talking to someone in the parking lot was eying me the whole time and gave me a really serious stare when she saw me using the bag to dump the package in the box. After I left, I saw her rush in to the post office really quickly.
Now, I wasn't caught on any cameras or anything, but assuming she snitched on me, what are the odds the postal employees would take her seriously and inspect everything in the box thoroughly? I know I seem paranoid, but I'm just worried they will get dogs to sniff everything in the box and intercept my package because of this lady.

Whoever told you to use a plastic bag to drop envelopes was insane. First of all, that is a major heat-score and with all the crinkling is about as noticeable as if you'd hopped over there on one foot to drop it in. Secondly, you really dont' have to worry about prints on the outside of the envelope. By the time it gets to security bypass chances are it has a bunch of fingerprints on it from postal employees.
Do you already have a record? Prints in they system? If not then there is no need to worry at all, and even if you do I still wouldn't be doing anything crazy like that. If you are that paranoid go see if you can find skin-tone latex gloves and wear them for the drop. Plastic bag is craziness!

Yeah: this is one of those things where it would be very easy to loose all perspective. Mostly it's just common sense...we are small fry, and it's good to keep it that way. Nobody is taking the trouble to follow anybody. This place is a mess to figure out, and I wouldn't worry...just don't, you know, drive drunk, or get caught in a bad neighborhood with goods, all that...but mechanics of SR itself protect buyers and sellers alike...

Yeah thanks for the advice. I don't have a record, so that's good to hear. I was just paranoid because in that other thread I remember the guy who used to intern with postal inspectors mentioned they sometimes dust for prints.

Nah, I just walked there with the package in the bag, and dumped it out of the bag into the blue box. It did make some noise obviously, but it was a pretty smooth motion. It just so happened this nosy lady was already eying me prior to this, and her seeing me dump out a bag into a mail box didn't help my case. I mean, from her point of view I could have been dumping anything into the box.
Guess I'll just have to wait and hope everything turns out alright. I'll be sure to use a different drop off box and avoid using a bag next time. :P

^ She probably just thought you were dumping garbage into a postal bin or something. If they did check I would be that's what they were looking for and so your package probaby isn't noticed.

I think it really depends on how smooth you are. If I was carrying multiple packages in a bag and then just dumped them out into the box out of laziness, then cool.. if you are acting like a criminal dumping drugs that doesn't want to get fingerprints on the package, you are going to have a problem.

They probably won't be able to tell which package is yours, and I doubt they'd go through all the trouble of inspecting every package in the box just because some bimbo saw somebody dropping it off with a bag.

Lol this forum friggin rocks. I love these posts. In a way it makes me want to hurry the fk up and place an order before half the shit hits the fan but it's fun to read the inexperience and basic lack of common sense people have in regards to this.
The lady was already eyeing you and you went ahead and dumped the package in while holding it with a bag?! Hmm lets see if I was some nozy bitch I'd be thinking: a-bomb , b-anthrax.
They wont be able to find it?! Heheh yeah because no postal inspector is smart enough to ask "what did the package look like? Oh a brown box ok let me grab my key and search through the 50-60 packages in there and locate it within the first 2 minutes of searching since there are only 3 brown boxes in here. Oh yes, 2 of these are people who always ship, Mrs Grambly with her cookies and Father Molesta with his prayer beads. Mujabe Smarty on 11111 Main St?...wait a minute.....we don't have a Main St here."
Why the hell didn't you come when the place was closed. Even if not the fist plan the moment I saw anyone looking at me suspicious , If I had to do anything that appears suspicious I wouldn't do it. I'd come back or goto a diff place. The friggin blue postal boxes aren't only at the Post office they are sometimes just on corners in certain neighborhoods or in front of stores, you couldn't think of any less risky way to get it in the mail than going to the worse possible place? Was your first idea to walk it inside with it in your hands inside the bag and hand it over but you decided against that? Seriously.
There needs to be a public forum for people who are wanting to do this or a faq that explains what the fuck you should and should not do.
It's cool though, it's better you ask the question so it can be answered and I don't want people making mistakes and staying silent.
Don't feel bad, I've done some real , real dumb shit. I think everyone has. A while back I got pulled over and had my scripts , cash, and the kiss of death, a tallybook. To make it better one of the pages in the book was written by a friend who just couldn't understand math and had the (i shit you not) phrases "my profit" and "your proifit" , the only thing better would have been names next to it. It couldn't have gotten better if it was in a movie. The friend brought it in the car and left it but still, taking your car and checking it before any trips is 101 and that should have been caught by me first.
What I'm saying is we've all been dumb fucks before, now is your time. That's how you learn.

I'm not one for admitting embarrassing mistakes, but since you've been so kind as to go first, I'll take the plunge too.
I'm a pretty conservative fellow, normally, but...
I once sent $700 cash to a Russian guy who worked in hospital in Moscow. Six months later he sent me 20 GLASS test tubes full of fentanyl (yeah, quite a bargain) and...he wrote "fentanyl" on the customs declaration. Didn't even have shitty handwriting.
Then I got worried about having massive amounts of drugs delivered to my apt so I got a PO Box IN MY REAL NAME. I didn't know you had to show your license to rent a PO Box. So I celebrated by promptly having about 15,000 assorted xanax and valium that some Serb soldier dude had stolen from NATO (great prices; like $0.20 each) in what was then Yugoslavia sent to said box only to find when they showed up they were in boxes that said in 4" high blue letters "PROPERTY OF NATO--REPORT IF FOUND"
Or the bag, yes BAG like an IV bag, half full of morphine that arrived *leaking* from Namibia to my fake ID PO box. The owners almost chucked it the box was so wet. How customs missed it, I don't know. He was supposed to ship 1000 10mg morphine sulfate *pills* but he couldn't get them and since this was MORE morphine than I ordered....
Of course, way back then we didn't have any nice forums with proven vendors on them to buy from. That still doesn't excuse my stupidity.
But if you buy and take drugs long enough; sooner or later you will do something truly stupid.
