Title: Is there a demand for freshly picked outdoor mushrooms?
Post by: dance4life on July 04, 2011, 11:03 pm: So, it is about that time of year again. Without giving out too much information I reside in a very lively part of the USA as far as mushrooms this time of year. Mostly they are cubensis, actually 99% of them I find are at my regular field.

I am wondering how much demand there would be for these outdoor mushrooms? I was thinking what I could do is clean them up well and immediately ship them? I would vacuum seal these of course after cleaning them up.

For this being the case I can't really charge by weight because there will certainly be a lot of water weight. I will probably have to come up with a number of full shrooms * .xx BTC. They get as big as dinner plates here if not larger.

Nah, brah, I can solve this problem for you easily.

Do you have a fan? Like a regular fan you'd set beside your bed or something? Do you have a cardboard box that's bigger than the diameter of the fan? Or can you get one?

Cut a hole in one side of the box the same size of the fan's round grill. Stick the fan right up against the hole, so it'll be blowing right into the box. Now cut another hole (or holes) on the opposite side of the box so the air can vent straight out the other side (you want the box closed other than those holes).

VOILA! Instant dessication chamber.

It'll dry your shrooms cracker dry in a day.

Went out this morning and it still hasn't been humid enough apparently. Found a lot of small ones that just weren't worth it yet. Probably will be a few more weeks until maximum growth starts.

so, one trip(shrooms) vs 4 or 5 trips (lsd)

so thats why i have yet to order shrooms. doesnt seem worth it, thats just me though

I've always been hesitant for some reason. Something about me knowing that I have at least cleaned it with a paper towel. Not that it really probably matters lol.

We can also only get there on boat. So it isn't like a walk down the street. These are like in an exclusive location haha.
