I think it'd be great to have the option to put up an auctions just like on Ebay.
Any thoughts?

this one's been on deck for a while, though we want to create something a bit different than ebay and integrate it with the current system. Basically what we are thinking is to allow buyer to make counter offers, so if a seller is offering something for 10 btc a buyer can offer 9 btc and a seller can accept or ignore. This gives some of the pricing power back to the buyers.

That's a good idea SR

I'd love such a feature, too!

Yea, Im always getting counteroffers. Most of them were totally unacceptable, but there has been one or two that I did. It would make it easier on the sellers so that with one click we can accept or decline, without having to send multiple pms.. But then again, its not fair for me to give a better deal from one client to the next. But, I would consider it if its a customer that I have a good relationship with, etc. this option would be nice..

You could also add a "notes" section to the offers - there is a site that runs like this called IOffer, where a seller lists something but buyers can bid under and post a message with the bid. This way a buyer could say "hey I want this, but I'll pay 8btc instead of 10", and the seller can say "sure I will do this if you direct send the funds to me instead of tying them up in escrow for 3 weeks". The option for escrow is good but I personally won't be discounting anything through escrow. If someone wants to send me the funds immediately so I can revert them back to my float I am definitely going to cut them a deal, basically street price + package/shipping.
Also, to let buyers know a seller's price-flexibility, a seller could check an option to display previous price deals (does not have to display username of buyer, just completely transactions at price). As a seller, if it is going to entice more buyers to my product and open up payment terms I am all for it, even if my margins drop.
