Title: Looking to buy a VAC SEALER
Post by: buddrulez on June 28, 2011, 02:41 pm
Hi Folks,
I'm a new seller here from the UK and I'm looking to buy a VAC Sealer.
Anyone have any ideas where I might find one?!

Thanks!

If you have choice of brands, get a FoodSaver. They are the best IMO.

In the US they can be found at Sears, Target, Walmart, etc.

Ziploc has a product here in the U.S. that comes with a pump. You put your "food" in the bag, ziploc it, then pump it. The bags arent that expensive either if bought from Walmart (12 for ~$3):

Just get heat laminate pouches. You can iron around your product, they are pretty cheap and are pretty thick. They have 8.5x11, 5x4, id card. Very worth it to not have a vac sealer around which is a bit sketchy to have combined with other things people may have laying around.

No there was a comment made a while ago about buying vac sealers from Amazon or ebay.  Yes there are many legitimate uses for them, but I tell you what, have a kitchen vac sealer on the front seat of your car with some baggies and envelopes when a cop pulls you over and he'll be very suspicious of what you are up to.

Your best bet is to buy one from a kitchenware store paid with cash.  They should be in the same section as preserving wares or in the storage section.

There is nothing wrong with buying a vac-sealer.  Just go to walmart and pay cash for one.  I have tried several, and I find FoodSaver to be the best as well.  I buy rolls of vac-seal bag so you can custom size it for your oders.

You can use it save your fresh food in the fridge for a long time, too - it has utility outside of shipping wrong-by-decree items.

That can happen regardless of being vac sealer bought with cash or stolen credit card. Never mind saying in such case nothing is illegal and can not be issued any warrant.
Your statemant to buy it with stolen card and delivery to friend address is to much paranoid. But you have good itentions nevertheless..

If you are driving around with a vac sealer in your car you are not cut out for this business period.  If you have to transport anything, keep it in a low-key looking laptop case IN THE TRUNK.  keep the car clean, check all the lights to make sure they are working.  Dont' dress like a wanna-be rapper, blare loud music and squeal your tires.  Drive a completely average car - when I am shopping for a new car, I look at a busy road and watch all of the cars driving by, and all of the cars I look at twice for whatever reason I cross off of my list.

Do all of your business indoors, if at all possible.  Cash out, product out, done.  No games.  Get yourself some low-key regular customers, only take new customers on referral and vet them.

The reason for vag sealing in B&M trade is if your product has odors, they are gone.  Cops don't drive around with dogs and randomly pull people over, the k9 unit gets called in or is at a ride program.  If you are just pulled over then there has to be probable cause - DON'T GIVE THEM ANY.  Clean, simple, low key, and you will make money.

Damn I got offtopic, cleared out a mega OT post.

The basic idea of the post that is pertains to this is:Foodsaver, got to echo that. 20-30 bucks at Walmart.  Uh I'd agree with Rake and say don't have scales, bags and other shit in your car when you buy it. Just buy it and bring it home, if you are paranoid buy a few other kitchen things and return them later (love Walmart's "free rental" program, it has provided many strobe lights, tv's and radios for small rave parties :) )

Another thing, Anar speaks the truth.  I'm happy there seems to be a small but dedicated and knowledgable base here that can at least bring some light to the do's and don't.

Listen to Tupac, he said "All I want is the money, fuck the fame - I'm a simple man".
