Is it just me or does the $$ of bud on SR seem to be incredibly high -no pun intended. I realize that on this site, we are paying a premium in order to have it delivered to SWIM's house & also for the benefits of the escrow system, which can hurt the seller. But even then, there are a number of sellers on SR that are asking quite a lot for 3.5g -schorchedmirth: $84.30, greenco: $104.90- just a few examples. I know it's my choice, but I'd sooner not smoke than pay that much.
Also, I realize that there are a few of sellers who don't charge as much & I'm only looking at US sellers @ 3.5g. I saw that some sellers are just trying to stay away from anything less than 7g, so maybe that's the reason. But personally, no matter how well packaged it is, the bulkier the package (& 7g of fluffy bud should be bulky), the more nervous I get as the contents can get SWIM or SWIMs friend in trouble.
Any comment's from sellers, other buyers?

Mt Gox is the largest exchange and it is has been down for several days due to a hack. When it goes back up (reportedly in the next 24 hours), it is anticipated that some people will have lost faith in bitcoin and cash out, some people will try to buy up all the coins at a cheap price, etc.. Nobody really knows what will happen.. So, the vendors are worried that the bitcoin value could sink significantly once mt gox goes back up..

Our 1/8oz (3.5g) price is $50-60 usd depending on strain and what not.
Any other price is due to some other glitch, downtime, delay in the auto adjuster, or some other contributing factor outside of our direct control. We try to manually get around glitches when we can.

You can buy some incredibly cheap weed for $75 an ounce if you are into budget smoke.

I have fairly decent prices - close to the street price for what I carry, with basically just my shipping costs added on and a small premium for the fact that occassionally something is going to get lost and I have to eat that in order to retrieve my money from escrow.
but I only sell to Canada. If you are outside, I can't help you.
