It's a decent idea, but I think while there are some benefits, it is only going to make the Early Finalize Plague harder for the community to get past.If we are going to do early finalize, I would rather see a built in system. I personally don't let personally go in-escrow from me who have 3 or less completes and/or anything over a 0% refund rate. I offer discounts if someone wants to buy direct from me, including free shipping, but it's only enforced for the newbs because those are the only times I have actually been scammed (and why my feedback is not 100% :( )A built in would be something where a seller could choose which buyers he will do regular business with. Enter the parameters, something like mine (completed transactions, refund rate). If anyone buys who has less than the minimum stats, they have to release the funds inside of SR's system before the item will be shipped. It would be best if feedback did revert to 1/5 automoatically (and not get weighted against final feedback, just show up on the seller's page as "1/5 early finalize auto-feedback"). The buyer has the usual time to make the changes to it, and if nothing happens it reverts to the 5/5 with "leave feedback here" like normal (P.S. This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine, because these feedback are the lowest weighted on SR's seller rank equations).I'm not exactly FOR early finalize, I think it's up to a seller to do what he thinks is best to keep himself profitable. But if my policies hurt my business, I haven't seen it. Newbs direct-buy from me pretty much every day and I get a lot of SR Virgins knocking on my door and throwing pebbles at my window in the middle of the night. :)
